Meet Bryan Hill

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Bryan Hill. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Bryan below.

Bryan, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My parents instilled in me the will to succeed. I watched them get up and go to work everyday of my life growing up. I eventually got my first job at age 16 and never looked back. I moved out of home right after highschool and just worked jobs until I became an entrepreneur.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Artlysium Productions has now Partnered with Pressure Universe Inc. The two companies are producing high quality independent films across the United States of America. Our mission is to reach those who want to act and build with us. Our goals range from helping new actors to finding coaching opportunities from seasoned veterans. We also write, produce and film our own films. The current landscape is building from the ground up and so far we have reached new heights. As a production community our goals have benefited our city and those surrounding want to be apart of our continued growth.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three qualities that paved the way for us were the willingness to fail, the drive to win regardless of any circumstance and showing up even when we didn’t want to in order to complete whatever task needed to be done. The best way to develop these skills are starting with smaller projects and completing those. It will help the more you go through the process. We are filming 10 movies this year which is a lot more than we have ever done. But we started with just one film and completed it. Always research the areas you feel less confident in.

What would you advise – going all in on your strengths or investing on areas where you aren’t as strong to be more well-rounded?
It’s a marathon not a sprint and you have to go the distance. Study and learn something new everyday in your field. The more work you do the better off you’ll be. Start small and build bigger and bigger. The main focus is going all in on investing in yourself. This could be many things, invest in your mind and understanding of what business you are operating. In film we are faced with most of the same problems any business will have. Finding the right people to implement the strategies created by the pioneers. As pioneers we cannot allow our teams to fail consistently. Allow them to grow and fail once but after that teach them how to win and keep winning. The process is hard but once the money starts coming use it to keep building the business. Assets over liabilities in every aspect of life.
