Meet Francesco Mauro

We recently connected with Francesco Mauro and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Francesco , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

My work ethic is tied to my great passion for cinema and sound. These are two aspects that cannot be separated and that motivate me to try to do my best.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I became interested in music and cinema as a teenager.
My curiosity led me to experiment with various digital sound processing software for several years.
After graduating in philosophy from “La Sapienza” University, I entered the “Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia” in Rome, where I graduated and specialized in sound editing.
From that moment on, I embarked on my professional career in the world of cinema.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I think the most important thing is to never stop feeding your curiosity. From there, try to improve by making the best possible contribution to the film.
The only advice I can give is to have respect for our work and that of others.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?

Finding a balance between personal/family life and work life. Not underestimating the ethical aspect in both.
