Meet Rob Wolf

We were lucky to catch up with Rob Wolf recently and have shared our conversation below.

Rob, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

My father, the topic of my discussion.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Robert Wolf M.D., grew up as the only child of Ervin and Judit Wolf. Their stories of their escape from communist Hungary, and his father’s tragic history of escaping the Nazis twice but having his own parents deported to Auschwitz, inspired Robert to document his parents’ tales and share those stories with Jewish groups and others throughout the United States. In “Not a Real Enemy,” Robert shares his family saga-and the forgotten history of the nearly half million Hungarian Jews who were deported and killed during the Holocaust-through an epic and inspiring tale of daring escapes, terrifying oppression, tragedy, and triumph.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Be a team player, no substitute for experience, and you can learn from every person/case.

Many others, including determination, resilience, work ethic, survival, and ultimately redemption.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

Again, my father, which we can discuss in detail during the podcast.

We talk about hope, resilience, determination, fear, kindness, survival, pestilence, genocide, torture, antisemitism, parallels to today’s world, and again redemption!
