Meet Hannah Rose

We were lucky to catch up with Hannah Rose recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hannah, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My work ethic has been the driving force behind my journey as a singer, songwriter, and producer. From an early age, my parents instilled in me the values of perseverance and fighting for my dreams. Despite facing countless rejections, their wisdom propelled me forward, reminding me that one “yes” can change everything. Financial challenges led me to develop a wide range of skills as I worked long hours and took on less glamorous jobs to fund my passion. This journey of learning and growth has shaped me into a versatile artist and a savvy businesswoman. I stand humbled and inspired by my achievements, knowing that this is just the beginning of an extraordinary adventure.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a pop/rnb singer, songwriter, and producer. My music career currently consists of writing new music for my artist project Hannah Rose, as well as writing for other singers. In August, my new single “Pinch Me” will be released; a sassy pop song that explains the dream-like feeling of making it after years of hard work. “Pinch Me” is following the release of “Tears on a Saturday”, a heartbreak ballad that uses storytelling lyrics, a simple piano, and spine chilling melodies to take you through an emotional journey. Throughout my Hannah Rose catalog, you can expect relatable topics, vulnerable lyrics, and catchy melodies. With several songs ready to release, “Pinch Me” will be the kick off to the new Hannah Rose era. My new experiences and perspectives have elevated my artistry, and you can expect more captivating and dynamic performances.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Throughout my journey as a successful singer, songwriter, and producer in the music industry, three qualities have had the greatest impact on my growth. These qualities revolve around self-discovery and empowerment, contributing to my artistic development, relationships, self-respect, and confidence. Here they are:

Authenticity: Embrace who you truly are. Take the time to understand yourself – what drives you, what inspires you, and what challenges you. Heal the aspects that need healing and amplify the attributes that align with your aspirations. By consistently presenting yourself authentically, you free yourself from the need for external validation, unlocking boundless potential

Self-worth: Recognize your value. In the face of rejection, heartbreak, or disagreements, acknowledge your emotions, process them, but never let them drag you to a state of despair. Remember, you have a purpose in this world, and it requires your unique contributions. During tough times, allow yourself to be affected, yet refuse to be confined by external forces that hinder your growth

Humility: Embrace the never-ending journey of learning. Understand that there is always more knowledge to gain and individuals who excel in various fields. Rather than feeling frustrated or overwhelmed by this, find inspiration in the abundance of information available at our fingertips. Take advantage of the valuable resources, even those offered for free, not as a sign of inadequacy, but as a means to further elevate your skills and interests. Cultivate self-awareness and respect for others while acknowledging your own limitations.
For those embarking on their own creative journeys, my advice is to prioritize these three qualities. Discover your authentic self, value your worth, and maintain a humble and open mindset. By doing so, you’ll lay a solid foundation for personal and artistic growth, unlocking your true potential.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
The people I would like to shoutout for helping me overcome challenges or build, qualities, or knowledge I needed to be successful has been my family and friends. I tend to be a perfectionist, which can often get in my way of creating freely and sharing my talent with the world. The people I surround myself with encourage me to let go and help me understand that even if not “perfect” people want to hear what I have to say. Negative self talk can also be a factor in perfectionism, but my family and friends are my number one encouragers and know exactly how to get me out of that mode and uplift my spirits. From living room shows as a kid, to releasing music on streaming platforms, to singing on stage, my main supporters have held space for me to practice in front of them, and because there is a love and trust there, I welcome constructive criticism, which in return helps me put my best foot forward in my career. They inspire me and we love to brainstorm new ideas together. I love having them be a part of my music journey, and because most have been supporting me for a while, they will play a beautiful part in the success of my music.
