Good morning Anthony , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me varies depending on which clients I’m working with, but it’s always focused on driving results and building scalable marketing systems. I might start the day reviewing analytics and performance metrics across client accounts, checking on paid ads, SEO progress, or website conversions. Then I spend time in strategy sessions, either with clients in person or virtually, working through their marketing framework, identifying opportunities for growth, and helping them implement changes.
I also dedicate time to creating processes, templates, and systems that make their marketing more efficient, as well as coaching business owners and teams on execution. Some days are hands-on, working directly on campaigns or landing pages, while others are focused on big-picture strategy, planning quarterly goals, or reviewing ROI across marketing channels. The variety keeps me engaged, and the common thread is always helping clients grow while building repeatable, measurable marketing systems.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
As a Fractional Chief Marketing Officer and founder of Giving You Digital, I help businesses build strong marketing foundations and growth systems that actually drive results, instead of chasing random tactics. What makes my approach unique is that I work alongside companies as a true partner, auditing their marketing, creating frameworks, and implementing strategies that improve customer acquisition, retention, and profitability all while saving them from having to bring on a full time W-2 based hire to manage it all, which if your a business owner trying to hire a full time W-2 for marketing, you know how hard it can be especially if you are not sure what qualifications they need to meet or what goals and expectations you should set for them.
I work with multiple brands across various companies, from multi-location organizations in the landscaping and tree service industry to independent home service businesses in the $500,000 – $1,000,000+ range. This allows me to bring a wide range of insights and strategies to each client, tailoring solutions that fit their goals. My mission is to give business owners a clear, data-driven path to growth while eliminating wasted spend and confusion around marketing. A challenge I often help overcome is breaking past the million dollar revenue mark by establishing an in-house marketing system to generate enough traction to do it. I often work with legacy businesses as well who have been in the tree service and landscaping industries for 35+ years with multiple generations of family members working for the business and taking over. This part of the job is so exciting to me as I can really highlight the story of what made the businesses great to begin with and transform that into what their online presence should look like in 2025. It gives business owners peace of mind to know that we have the right technology and are implementing the right systems that help them grow their revenue and increase job flow.
Currently I am working with multiple businesses in the home service industry including Skyline Tree Service & Landscaping a 36+ year legacy business in the tree service industry located in the Kane County area, serving towns like Geneva and St. Charles, Gabriel’s Inc. Companies which is also a 36+ year family owned and multi-brand organization spanning McHenry County to Dupage County, Lake County and Cook County doing everything from luxury outdoor transformations to tree removal and maintenance. Gabriel’s Inc. Companies recently acquired Mid-West Tree Experts Inc. in Wauconda, IL and we are working on bringing the marketing in-house to bring the support of Gabriel’s Inc. to the well known tree brand in Wauconda.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that really shaped how I see the world was when I realized that so many small and mid-sized businesses were spending thousands on marketing without a real system in place, just trying tactics and hoping something worked. I saw companies with amazing services struggle simply because they didn’t know how to connect their brand, website, and customer acquisition into one framework.
I experienced this firsthand early in my career while working with a construction company in Phoenix Arizona. They were investing heavily in outsourced marketing help, but none of those vendors communicated with each other, and the lack of a unified strategy caused wasted money and missed opportunities. That realization shifted my perspective. I understood that marketing isn’t about chasing the latest trend. It’s about building a foundation that connects all the pieces and consistently drives growth. Since then, I’ve dedicated my career to helping businesses cut through the noise, make smarter decisions with their budgets, and create marketing systems that actually bring results.
Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
Yes, I can remember a few times when business owners truly listened to me, and those moments have been some of the most rewarding in my career. I’ve worked with multiple companies in the home service industry, ranging from plumbers, general contractors to arborists with tree care and landscaping companies who trusted me to implement the proven marketing framework I’ve developed. Because they leaned in and executed, they were able to break through the hump of $1,000,000 in revenue. A milestone that had been out of reach perviously.
Over this past few years while working with a companies in the home service space, I have started to see a pattern. Previous agencies were only “doing a service” instead of building a system. The best part about being a Fractional CMO is that businesses can engage me when they need me, whether that’s for interim marketing leadership and support to solve a challenge or long-term guidance to scale. The framework works across all home service businesses such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, and beyond. When a company truly listens and partners with me, they see not just growth but a repeatable system they can rely on for years to come.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
A lot of smart people are still getting it wrong by treating search engine optimization and getting found on Google as just keyword optimization for algorithms. The game has changed. Today, it’s not enough to rank for search terms if the content doesn’t actually solve a customer’s problem. The companies and marketers who will win in 2026 and beyond are those who focus on goal-driven content that meets customers where they are, empathizes with their pain points, and clearly demonstrates a path to solving their problem.
My approach combines this customer-focused strategy with SEO best practices and AI-driven search considerations. By using a proven marketing framework, we make sure that content not only ranks in Google but also moves people through the buyer journey, builds trust, and converts leads. In short, it’s about aligning what search engines want with what your customers need and solving problems, not just stuffing keywords or trying unorganized marketing tactics.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
What I understand deeply that most people don’t is the value of being in person when it comes to building strategy and guiding business owners. Today, many marketers rely entirely on remote work, screens, calls, and emails, but there’s something powerful about sitting down together, working through strategy, and educating the client on exactly what needs to be done. When your working together in a setting that allows all minds to come together, not only do things get done faster, but all parties have a great feeling afterwords knowing that everyone is contributing to the growth of the organization. This is where the real work gets done.
Being able to be hands-on in person and travel across the US. allows me to collaborate as a team rather than through a screen. It builds trust, strengthens relationships, and ensures everyone is aligned on the plan. My clients consistently tell me that this approach, combining strategic guidance with real-world interaction, makes a huge difference in both results and their confidence in executing the marketing framework we build together.
