We’re looking forward to introducing you to Constance Prince. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Constance , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity is more important to me than intelligence and energy because to have integrity it requires both.
Integrity is the quality of being honest, ethical, and having strong moral principles and for me it is the most essential trait a person can possess. Here’s why:
Integrity is not just as a standalone virtue but something that encompasses intelligence and energy. In other words, to truly live with integrity, one must Think wisely (intelligence): Understand right from wrong, foresee consequences, and make thoughtful decisions.
• To be consistent and courageous in staying aligned requires energy. Energy to uphold values even when it’s difficult, and to follow through with conviction.
Intelligence without integrity can lead to manipulation or unethical behaviour. However Integrity channels intelligence toward ethical and constructive positive outcomes.
Energy without integrity could result in reckless or self-serving actions.
Yet integrity ensures that energy is used with purpose and responsibility.
So technically integrity is the essential scaffolding for energy and intelligence to be used accordingly with moral clarity. For me It’s not just about being smart or driven, it’s about using those traits in service of something greater. Doing what is right.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, my name is Constant Prince, founder of Prince Artworks.
I am a full time self taught artist and my journey into art was born from a series of transformative life experiences, including surviving multiple car accidents that reshaped my perspective on life. These moments led me to embrace creativity not just as a form of expression, but as a path to healing and advocacy.
Through Prince Artworks, I create pieces that speak to the power of kindness, the depth of human thought, and the profound lessons we can learn from nature. My art is a reflection of how beauty, resilience, and introspection can coexist and how creativity can be a force for emotional and spiritual restoration.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
A part of me that has served its purpose and can now be released is the mindset of survival. Having lived through domestic violence, endured the trauma of three road traffic accidents and navigated life as a single mother, I carried the weight of struggle for many years. But I’ve reached a chapter in my life where I no longer feel bound to that narrative. I’ve come to recognise ease and I no longer feel guilty for embracing it.
There’s a quiet transformation that happens when you realise you’re no longer at war with life. You don’t have to fight to exist. You can simply thrive. I now understand ease is not a betrayal of strength it’s a reward for it. I have now release the belief that everything must be a struggle, and instead welcome positivity, opportunity, and the grace to move forward unapologetically.
I’ve created a safe space for myself emotionally, spiritually, and creatively that allows me to feel, to grow, and most importantly, to thrive. I also believe that’s something powerful to model for my children: that healing is possible, that joy is deserved, and that we are allowed to live fully without shrinking ourselves.
It’s this mindset shift that has enabled me to make better decisions and investments in my career journey.
Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
I remember a time when someone truly listened to me and what made it unforgettable was the moment they gently turned the mirror back towards me. At the end of our conversation, they said, “I’ve listened to you… but have you listened to yourself?”
That question struck me deeply. It struck me with emotional intensity, because it revealed something profound: that being heard is powerful, but hearing yourself is transformational.
Sometimes, yes, we need to be heard. We need to speak our thoughts aloud just to begin processing what we’re feeling. I’ll never forget that moment. That was a conversation I had with a relative who is no longer with us, however he simply sat in silence and listened. No interruptions, no advice, just presence. That stillness, I felt truly seen. I always did with my cousin may his soul rest peacefully.
His question “Have you listened to yourself?” was a turning point. It taught me that the root of many missteps in life often lies in ignoring our own inner voice. Listening to yourself is not just self awareness, it’s a gateway to clarity, alignment, and ultimately, success. That lesson has stayed with me ever since. I have also intuitively grown ever since.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Great question.
Yes. I can confirm the public version of me is absolutely real, just a little more reserved. I tend to lean into my serious nature when I’m in public spaces, which can make me seem more conservative. However that doesn’t mean I’m being fake rather it’s simply a different facet of who I am. At home, I’m much more carefree, wacky, and fun. There’s a vibrant, eclectic side to me that most people don’t get to see.
I’ve always had a serious streak, and it’s the part of me that naturally takes the lead in professional or public settings. Every now and then, the playful, carefree (some say crazy) side breaks through.
What many don’t know is that I love mimicking accents, doing quirky voices, and just being silly. I’m a creative at heart I love dancing (even if I’m a bit rusty!), singing, acting, writing and poetry… all of it. These are the parts of me that live quietly behind the scenes, but they’re just as real and essential to who I am.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m immersed in nature surrounded by quiet, stillness, and the subtle sounds that bring life to the moment. There’s something profoundly soothing to me hearing birds sing, their melodies carried by the wind and the joyful laughter of children playing nearby. The squeals of happiness, the carefree energy, it all lifts my spirit.
Those sounds remind me of innocence, freedom, and the beauty of simply being. In those moments, I feel grounded, connected, safe and deeply at ease.
