We recently had the chance to connect with Misty Rauscher and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Misty, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
This past May, I had one of those unforgettable proud-parent moments. My 16-year-old daughter walked across the stage to receive both her high school diploma and her associate’s degree. She pulled that off while working two jobs to save money for college—all completely self-motivated. Seeing that kind of drive and discipline at such a young age, with no push from anyone else, filled me with so much pride. It reminded me that strength and resilience can happen at any age, and we really are creators of our own lives.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Misty Rauscher, and I’m a transformational life coach and trauma recovery coach. I work with high-achieving men and women who want to deepen their personal relationships, find real success both at home and in business, and accomplish goals that many only dream about. What sets my work apart is my deep focus on trauma recovery—particularly supporting those healing from sexual abuse. It’s work that requires both strength and softness, and I consider it an honor to walk alongside my clients as they walk into their healing.
I live in Lone Tree, Colorado, where I’ve been married for 24 years, and I’m a proud mom to five amazing kids. My family is my grounding force and my inspiration. Whether I’m coaching a client through a breakthrough or cheering one of my kids on from the sidelines, I believe that real transformation happens when we feel safe, seen, and supported—and that’s exactly what I aim to create in every space I’m part of.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” — Jeremiah 1:5
Long before I could see myself clearly, I was already seen—fully and intimately—by God. That verse has always grounded me. Even before a single cell of my body existed, I was known and set apart by the Creator of the universe. That truth gives me an anchor. When life feels uncertain or when I lose sight of who I am, I come back to that knowing. Being seen by God reminds me of my inherent worth and purpose, and from that place, I can see myself and my clients more clearly.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me how to be softer—with myself and with others. It showed me the importance of kindness over urgency, and the power of allowing people to move through their healing on their timeline, not mine. I used to live with a “mind over matter” mentality—push through, move on, get over it. But walking through my own wounds shifted that entirely. Now, I live with “heart over matter.”
Where I once judged, I now hold space. Suffering taught me to see the delicate, deeply personal nature of healing. No amount of success could have brought me that kind of closeness to other people’s hearts—or to my own.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
There’s only one version of Misty—and that can be a double-edged sword! I lead with honesty and transparency, whether I’m coaching a client, speaking publicly, or having a quiet conversation. What you see is what you get. My face tends to give me away anyway, so there’s no use pretending! I’ve learned that showing up as my whole, authentic self not only builds trust—it also gives others permission to do the same.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
Whether it’s my husband, my kids, my friends, or my clients—I hope people remember that I truly cared. That I listened deeply. That I was the person who believed in them, even when they struggled to believe in themselves. I want to be remembered as someone who saw people not just as they were, but as who they could be—and who never stopped cheering for that version of them.
