Krysta Suydam shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Krysta, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My mornings are sacred. I start the first 90 minutes with intention—waking up, hydrating with lemon water, taking my morning supplements, and getting my mind right. Then I hit the gym for a couple of hours to train and reset. After that, I head to RECVR, which has hands down been the most effective performance recovery experience I’ve found. It keeps me sharp, balanced, and ready for everything the day throws at me.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Im Krysta — a business strategist, marketer, and founder focused on helping brands grow, connect, and build sustainable systems. Through my work, I bridge the gap between powerful ideas and real-world execution, whether that’s scaling a brand, launching a campaign, or bringing the right people together to move opportunities forward.
My work lives at the intersection of business development, marketing, and community building. I also lead a national insurance team, where we specialize in helping individuals and businesses protect their futures with smart, strategic coverage.
What sets me apart is how I approach everything from a systems and network perspective — I don’t just build brands, I build infrastructure that lasts. Right now, I’m focused on expanding our digital network, growing our community of professionals, and continuing to provide top-tier support through both insurance and marketing services.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world tried to define me, I was a builder. I’ve always had a vision — seeing opportunities where others saw limits, bringing people together, and finding creative ways to make things happen. I was the one organizing, connecting, and solving problems before I even realized that was business development.
That part of me never left — it just got sharper. I didn’t grow into a title or role, I grew into the responsibility of leading, creating impact, and helping others do the same on their own terms.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Absolutely. There were moments where I questioned if it was worth it — when the weight of building from the ground up, leading teams, and pouring into others without always seeing immediate returns had me exhausted. Especially when things didn’t move as fast as I knew they could.
But every time I got close to giving up, I reminded myself why I started: to build something bigger than me.
To create access, community, and opportunity where it didn’t exist before. That purpose pulled me back in every time — and now, I move with more clarity, more conviction, and a stronger team than ever.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
One truth I stand on — even if it makes people uncomfortable — is that money is everything. Not in a superficial way, but in the sense that money gives you options, access, and control over your life and legacy.
People love to say, “It’s not about the money,” but it usually is. Whether it’s healthcare, education, generational wealth, or simply freedom of time — money is at the root of it. I’ve seen what a lack of resources does to people, to businesses, and to communities.
That’s why I build the way I do — through business development, insurance, and marketing — because I believe ownership and financial literacy are non-negotiable if we want real power and sustainability.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I believe I’m doing exactly what I was born to do. I’ve been this person my whole life — the builder, the connector, the visionary. Nothing about this is new or forced. From a young age, I naturally stepped into leadership, saw gaps and figured out how to fill them, and brought people together to create something bigger.
This path didn’t come from what I was told to do — it came from who I’ve always been. Now, I just move with more purpose, more experience, and a clearer understanding of the impact I’m here to make.
