Dr. Heather Robinson, Ph.D shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Dr. Heather , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day looks like the following. I wake up and get in the shower. I’m praying, while doing my face and body cleansing routine in the shower. Next, I brush my teeth and get dressed. I then pack up my work bag and go to work.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Dr. Heather A. Robinson, Ph.D is a dynamic voice in education, equity, and empowerment. Dr. Robinson is a nationally recognized education advocate, DEI strategist, best-selling author, and the founder & CEO of Anointed2Write LLC, a powerful platform that helps aspiring authors, educators, and change-makers amplify their voice and visibility.
With over two decades of experience, Dr. Robinson has transformed lives through her work in education, publishing, and diversity leadership—earning prestigious honors like the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, Educator of the Year, and Inspiring Woman Educator.
She’s the visionary behind the Educators Rise movement, including the bestselling anthology series and the Educators Rise Conference. she had been featured in 25 publications, and as a guest on 25 podcasts—just like this one.
Her mission is clear: Visibility + Credibility = Equitability.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that most shaped how I see myself is my relationship with God. It’s where I found my worth, my voice, and my assignment. That foundation gave me the confidence to rise, lead, and help others do the same.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain the moment I realized it was the very thing God would use to heal others. For years, I wore strength as a shield—functioning in excellence while silently carrying wounds. But it wasn’t until I embraced my full story, not just the polished parts, that I truly stepped into purpose.
I began using my pain as power when I saw how my transparency gave others permission to heal, rise, and speak. That’s when Anointed2Write was born—not just as a brand, but as a movement. My pain became my platform, and my healing became a tool for others to find theirs.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
The cultural value I protect at all costs is authenticity. In a world that often pressures people—especially women, educators, and leaders of color—to shrink, conform, or perform, I fiercely protect the right to show up fully, truthfully, and unapologetically.
Authenticity builds trust, fuels transformation, and creates space for others to be seen and valued for who they truly are—not just what they produce. Whether I’m speaking, consulting, or coaching an author through their story, I lead with truth. Because if it’s not authentic, it’s not aligned—and alignment is where real impact begins.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I made others feel seen, heard, and empowered—that I used my voice to unlock theirs. I want to be remembered as a woman who turned her pain into purpose, and used her platform to elevate others. Someone who didn’t just succeed but created space for others to heal, rise, and lead.
I hope they say I was bold in truth, faithful in purpose, and relentless in love. That I stood for equity, walked in integrity, and built legacy—not for applause, but for impact. I pray my life tells the story of what’s possible when you walk in divine assignment.
