Hi Natasha, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My morning routine is critical to me for a focused, intention filled and results-producing next 24 hours of my life. I am blessed to have great energy in the morning – and sleepy kids! I grant myself at least an hour before my kids wake up to fill my cup and get ready for whatever lies ahead. It affords me being the best version of myself for me, my family, and everyone I connect with that day. I start with the most important aspect for me – my faith! For others it may be meditation or devotion, and whether it’s religious or not it’s about committing to something greater than yourself which establishes your mindset. Then I play my workout tunes in an inspiring workout outfit to establish my “bodyset” for the day with a 30 minute yoga or strength training routine. Next up – sound frequency playlists fill my Air pods to channel miracles, abundance, and healing as I both change into my outfit for the day, and serve the breakfast that will fill my family’s bellies. My favorite part? Waking up my kids! Those first snuggles and kisses of the day to whisper “I love you” in their ear and ask about their dreams last night completely fill my cup. I love the start of each day because my rest is complete and rejuvenating, and that is based on my night routine…stay tuned for the next article!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Life Coach. Yoga Instructor. Podcaster. Skincare, Haircare, Clean Nutrition Consultant. TV Channel Owner & Host. What do these businesses have in common besides that I champion each of them? It’s about helping others. That’s it. I give of myself so that someone else may benefit to live into the best versions of themselves – from something I did, said, gave, showed, influenced, or connected them. Everything I do is based on this simple and life changing premise – that we are stronger together, and you only have to take the next right step to reach all your dreams!
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
One of the most profoundly impactful moments in my life occurred my Senior year of high school upon winning the “Mover & Shaker” award across the school district. I won it based upon inaugurating a first-of-a-kind student led campaign called the “I Will” campaign which led events to foster respect, kindness, and connection amongst 2,400 high school students. As Vice President, I designed, planned, and implemented events throughout the year to change the atmosphere of bullying, insubordination, and hazing. The campaign itself brought overwhelming success in participation of events by students, and the results astounded even the staff that commented the stark positive difference in the improved culture. This moment built up my belief in my power that I could do anything to leave a massive positive difference across countless lives – and that I can actually achieve it!
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
In the beauty of success comes accomplishment, recognition, acknowledgement, and outward praise. It is an evident leveling up that incurs inspiration and empowerment in others. What is unseen by others are the paths that dead ended, the hours of toil, the many “Nos” heard along the way, and to me that’s the greatest gift of all: my character shaped by the “unsuccesses” which preceded my achievement. For the sweat, the tears, the hardship – I am GRATEFUL. Because if it wasn’t for those times of difficulty, I would not have set my eyes on even greater goals, more daring feats, or risky dreams. It formed my grit, my gumption, my never-give-up-ness, and even my optimism. Every ingredient I needed to be successful came from my hardships, so here’s to appreciating every hurdle along the way, and every hoop to come that I will need to jump through. Every single one of them have brought and will bring about the next better equipped version of me that is needed to champion my next mountain!
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
Here’s the truth: You can do it all. Yes you can. YOU can do it ALL. You probably still don’t believe me, most people don’t and that’s ok. What’s behind that truth is how…how does one do it all? Check out my podcast episode in addition to this and read on! I would like to think that most people have common sense, attempt to learn from others, and have access to knowledge. Why is this important? Because we cannot only rely on the limited, blinded, or guarded views of the daily interactions we maintain. Yes – that means your family and friends. Why? In our circle of familiar is generated the acceptable and unacceptable way of living, what is deemed normal and appropriate against that which is not. How is this relevant to doing it all? Most of the time, these notions of acceptable norms hold us back from realizing countless possibilities available to us and ways of being that would grant us access to creating anything and everything we want in life. How does this allow you to do it all? It literally starts with a mind shift, which may challenge some of these normalized notions on acceptable ways of living. So you need to be open to trying something new, looking at the problem differently, and attempting to resolve it in a way that may not only challenge you but also those around you. Ok so here’s the gist – the way you can do it all? First, define what ALL means to you. That’s right. All means different things to each person. In this context, it’s not meant to be a single all-encompassing understanding of what that all entails. You need to first choose for yourself what it means. Next, determine ways to DO it that protect your energy, maximizing the use of your resources (people, products, processes), and allow you to fulfill it as intended. Lastly, define what YOU means. Yes, you are ultimately accountable, but that doesn’t preclude you from getting it done with and through others. So that’s the genius behind how I do it all!
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I could leave my active duty military service right now, I would retire so that I could have the greatest amount of time with my family and focused on growing my 7 businesses that develop my clients’ mindsets to allow them to achieve their greatest dreams! My husband and my kids are my greatest blessing in life. I have had to give up so much time with them because of my military service, which is a sacrifice that I chose. Time is our most precious and scarce resource, I want to spent the most that I can with the most important people in my life and lead in my own curated specialized delivery to each client I have. I know that my full-time profession will come to an end, whether by choice or time, so it really is inevitable. My legacy will remain with those that I love, and the lives that I touch beyond just during my career tenure.
