We’re looking forward to introducing you to Tarik khribech. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Tarik, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Have you stood up for someone when it cost you something?
Yes. When I started AllBetter, I stood up for the mom-and-pop contractors who were getting crushed by big platforms charging them for leads they couldn’t afford. It cost me time, money, and sleepless nights, but I knew someone had to fight for fairness. These contractors are the backbone of our communities, and I wanted to give them a tool that levels the playing field. Standing up for them wasn’t just about business—it was about dignity. And I’d do it again every single time.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Tarik Khribech, and I’m the founder of AllBetter. I came to the U.S. as a Moroccan immigrant, built businesses from the ground up, and saw firsthand how hard it is for everyday homeowners to find honest help—and how unfairly small contractors get treated by big platforms. That’s why I created AllBetter: a home services app that connects homeowners directly with vetted local pros, while giving contractors free tools to grow and run their business. What makes us different is simple—we don’t believe in ripping people off. Homeowners set the budget, contractors compete fairly, and everyone wins. Right now, we’re scaling AllBetter across America to prove that technology can be both profitable and fair.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
When I immigrated to the U.S., I quickly saw how different opportunity looks depending on where you come from. I watched my father work tirelessly in real estate, and I managed my own rental properties while navigating a system that often felt stacked against people without resources or connections. That moment shaped how I see the world—it taught me that talent and grit exist everywhere, but access doesn’t. AllBetter was born from that belief: to create access for homeowners who need fair prices and for contractors who deserve a level playing field. That experience didn’t just shape my worldview—it became my mission.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes. There were moments building AllBetter when the weight felt too heavy—funding was tight, setbacks piled up, and I questioned if it was worth it. But then I’d think about the homeowner being overcharged or the small contractor getting squeezed by big platforms, and I couldn’t walk away. I reminded myself that giving up would mean leaving the problem unsolved. What kept me going was the belief that people like me—immigrants, small business owners, everyday families—deserve a fair shot. That’s when I realized resilience isn’t about never breaking down, it’s about refusing to stay down.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say what matters most to me is fairness. I can’t stand seeing people get taken advantage of—whether it’s a homeowner being overcharged or a contractor being undervalued. That’s why I built AllBetter, to level the playing field. Success for me isn’t just money—it’s building something that makes life better for people who usually don’t get a fair shot.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say I built something that outlived me. Not just a company, but an ecosystem that gave homeowners fairness and gave small contractors dignity. My story isn’t about chasing titles or money—it’s about proving that someone who came to this country with nothing could create a platform that made life better for thousands. That’s the legacy I want to leave.
