We’re looking forward to introducing you to Bre’Yanna Mitriece. Check out our conversation below.
Bre’Yanna , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Going to Zumba and showing up at the gym has been bringing me so much joy outside of work. I absolutely love dancing, and being able to move my body in this way has been a gift. It’s more than just exercise, it feeds my body, mind, and soul
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, my name is Breyanna Mitriece.
I teach women how to master self-love and live a healthy, happy, and whole life. What makes my brand unique is that the focus is always on you. My goal is to guide you back to yourself—so you can build confidence in your choices, trust yourself fully, love yourself deeply, and move through life from a place of wholeness.
When I speak about living a healthy, happy, and whole life, I mean nurturing your mind, body, and soul, cultivating joy in your everyday experiences, and embracing wholeness as your foundation.
I recently released my second book, In the Presence of Love, There Is Joy, the sequel to Abandoned Joy. I’m especially excited about this book because it goes deeper into what it means to be in the presence of love, not only with yourself, but also in your relationships with others. And I’m currently working on my next book.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
If I had to choose one relationship that shaped how I see myself, Icant just choose one it would be the relationships I had with my mom and dad.
My mom taught me so much about womanhood. She showed me what it means to have inner strength, to be confident, and to go after what I want. She didn’t spend a lot of time in self-pity, and because of her, I learned that life has challenges but also that I’m capable of facing them. From her, I learned how to trust myself, how to be in tune with who I am, and how to carry myself with confidence.
My dad influenced me in a different but equally important way. He shaped the creative parts of me,my love for writing, my passion for reading, and the way I nurture those inner gifts. From him, I also learned about life itself, how to look at the world and see myself through the lens of curiosity, imagination, and creativity.
Together, both of their influences created a balance in me,strength and confidence from my mother, and creativity and depth from my father.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was a time I wanted to.
For me, it was in business. I was showing up consistently, posting, paying for ads, investing in marketing, and believing that persistence would lead to quick results. But when the overnight success I hoped for didn’t come, I started questioning myself: Is this really what I’m supposed to be doing?
It’s easy to want to give up when you don’t see the fruit of your efforts right away. But over time, I realized that growth takes time. Just like planting a seed, you can’t expect it to bloom overnight. You have to water it, nurture it, and trust the process.
One scripture that has carried me through those moments is Galatians 6:9: “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
That verse reminds me to stay the course, focus on the actions I can control, and trust that the fruit will come in due season
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
If you asked my close friends what matters most to me, they would say without hesitation,my daughters, my family, and encouraging women to love themselves.
Family is the foundation for me. I believe in nurturing those relationships, cultivating them, spending time together, and creating memories. That’s the center of it all, the root from which everything else grows.
At the same time, teaching women about self-love and wholeness is also deeply important to me. It’s not just something I talk about,it’s my passion and my purpose. Pouring into women, reminding them to trust themselves, love themselves, and live from a place of wholeness brings me joy in a way that nothing else can.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
If I had to name one thing I understand deeply that most people don’t, it would be love.
I believe I have a deeply spiritual understanding of love, whereas many people only see it from the surface, through feelings, family teachings, or society’s definitions. For a lot of people, love is limited by conditions, expectations, and rules, because they’ve only experienced a version of love that doesn’t go beyond what’s familiar or comfortable.
What I’ve come to understand is that love is spiritual. It’s an energy that, when truly present, has the power to refine, perfect, and transform us. But to experience that, you have to surrender to it. Most people resist that surrender. They stay in their heads, keep it surface, and treat love as just a fleeting feeling rather than an energy that wants to work through them.
That’s why so many never experience the depth of love, it requires vulnerability, openness, and a willingness to let love move in you. I understand love in this way, and I know that most people will never fully see it that deeply
