An Inspired Chat with Jessica Johnson of Los Angeles/ New Orleans

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Jessica Johnson . Check out our conversation below.

Jessica , it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
It’s different everyday. Honestly I hate routine (I’m a Sagittarius), but I typically start my day by going over my schedule for the day, hydrating and taking my vitamins. I’ll also go ground and get my feet in the grass outside to wake my self up. I love breakfast and it’s typically a highlight of my day, along with vegan lattes and/or smoothies.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m Jess and I do what I do because I love media. I’ve always been passionate about storytelling and was able to transition from behind the scenes work, to acting and now content creation. It’s honestly so rewarding and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part that didn’t believe in herself.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Oh absolutely— yearly. lol, it doesn’t really go away, but you start to learn that feeling uncomfortable is a huge part of growth and often times I’ve been hard on myself if I don’t see immediate results.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
YES. I can’t emphasize this enough. What you see is what you get but depending on the spaces I’m in or who I’m around, the parts of me that I show may change.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What will you regret not doing?
Not believing in myself sooner.
