Alisha, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: When was the last time you felt true joy?
Last night…on a walk with my husband and dogs. 🙂

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello! My name is Alisha Allen and I am a TV Host/Spokesperson/Brand Rep in the Philadelphia region. I absolutely love getting to work with a variety of brands each and every day. It was always my dream to be in front of the camera and now I get to do it daily, while showcasing brands that we might not know we need! You can catch me dropping in on your social media ads or on some select TV stations. You can also follow all of my work and life adventures @Alishaallenhost. I can promise you….there will be pizza.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My Mom created the entire blueprint for how I see myself in this world. She is the most loving, selfless, kind, hard working human on the planet. She always encouraged me to follow my dreams and was my biggest cheerleader since I was born. Her words of praise and guidance kept me on my path when I wanted to throw in the towel and give up. I wouldn’t be half the person I am today if it wasn’t for my mama, Stacy. She is my best friend and greatest inspiration.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
A TIME……that’s a nice thought. I almost gave up on my industry so many times. It took over a decade to really form the thick skin I needed to not be destroyed in this field. It’s not breaking news that the entertainment industry isn’t for the faint of heart. You just have to get to the point where you wake up everyday and choose faith over fear. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. You have to believe in your journey so much that nothing can break your faith cycle. Rejection will happen a great deal, but you use that as fuel. It’s your power source to show the Universe that you will keep showing up despite failure. That right there is when the magic happens. That for me, is when I started receiving my greatest bookings and jobs. Once your fully commit to choosing faith over fear, that’s when you get into your sweet spot.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My family, my dogs and pizza. No question.

They would all understand the assignment lol!

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m surrounded by the people I love with my furry sons nearby. A fun night with friends and family restores the soul for me. Also, delicious food must be involved. Food is my love language.
