Lindsay Amoroso shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Lindsay, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Have you ever been glad you didn’t act fast?
I’m so glad I’ve paced myself and taken things one day at a time. In the past, I made impulsive decisions and honestly, that was the worst mistake I could make. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to approach things differently, and it’s made such a difference.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, my name is Lindsay Amoroso. I’m a stay-at-home mom and caregiver, blessed with two beautiful children—one of whom is on the autism spectrum—as well as two amazing stepchildren. I’m married to my best friend, and together we’ve built a home full of love (and fur babies—cats, dogs, and guinea pigs included!). Animals hold a very special place in my heart and in our family.
Faith is also central to who I am. I’m a God’s girl—without Him, I am nothing—and I am so grateful for all He’s carried me through.
Professionally, I spent 17 years working in the mental health field after earning my bachelor’s degree in behavioral science. Along the way, I also gained experience in sales and life coaching. Today, I’ve shifted my focus to being a non-toxic advocate, sharing the benefits of a wellness store called Melaleuca.
Right now, I’m working on some exciting projects that I know will bless my future. At the same time, I’m walking through my own healing journey—recovering from challenges of childhood and adulthood—and I believe that transparency is one of my greatest strengths. My story, my work, and my heart are all rooted in authenticity, and at the end of the day, I’m just like everyone else: learning, growing, and striving to live with purpose.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I would have to say it’s a combination of my mother and my husband.
My mother is one of the strongest women I’ve ever known. She has always loved me unconditionally and empowered me to believe in myself. Our relationship hasn’t always been perfect—as mother and daughter we didn’t always see eye to eye—but as I’ve grown older, our bond has become stronger than I could have ever asked for. Whenever I need a push, a hug, or simply someone to listen, I know she will be there. She has always seen the best in me, even when I couldn’t see it myself.
My husband is the only man who has truly seen me—who values me, loves me, and reminds me that I have purpose. With him, I feel safe, cherished, and completely myself. He knows my heart at its core, through the ins and outs of life, and with him I never have to pretend to be anyone else.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There have definitely been many times when I felt like giving up. Honestly, it’s my faith in God that has been my backbone—my foundation to keep me grounded and guide me back to where I need to be. My faith has carried me to where I am today.
Giving up can happen in any area of life—personal, professional, or even in moments when you feel unworthy. One of the biggest lessons I’ve had to learn is to stop playing small and step fully into the life and opportunities I was meant for, trusting that I am capable and deserving.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
There are a lot of misconceptions in both the mental health and wellness industries. In mental health, many people assume the “quick fix” is simply taking prescribed medications. I’m not against medications—they’re often necessary—but true healing requires more work. We have to invest in ourselves, our habits, and our emotional growth. A pill alone won’t fix everything.
In the health and wellness world, people often focus on exercise, hydration, nutrition, and gym routines—and those are absolutely important. But another huge part of taking care of yourself is addressing the chemicals in your home. Many products we use daily contain chemical disruptors that can impact our health in ways people don’t realize. If you’re serious about your health, it’s essential to also consider what’s in your household items and how they affect your body over time. True wellness is about both what we put into our bodies and what we surround ourselves with.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people remember how much I loved God and how my faith carried me through life, even in the moments I felt the most fear. I want them to know the challenges I overcame—more than they may have ever realized. I hope they see how deeply I loved my people: my kids, my husband, my family, my friends, and even my animals, who may have driven me a little crazy at times. Above all, I hope they remember me as a true soul, someone authentic and unique—someone who lived fully and loved deeply.
