We recently had the chance to connect with Jennifer Zhang and have shared our conversation below.
Jennifer, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
As a champion of sustainable agriculture, renewable energy and ecotourism, I established several organic farms near major U.S. cities, such as Chicago, Austin, and Fort Myers. The biggest farm is in Austin and that is more than 500 acre of untouched land just 2o minutes from downtown. As owner of the farms, I really developed a lot of joy growing my own spices, vegetables and fruits. The process is a divine one; you truly reap what you sow. There is a profound satisfaction that comes from working directly with the land and seeing the bounty nature provides. This passion also extends to my pet chickens—they’re adorable and provide me with the happiest rainbow organic eggs every morning.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
My parents were my greatest teachers. Watching them balance their careers with family taught me the importance of hard work and perseverance. They showed me that true success comes from a combination of resilience, passion, and the unwavering support of those you love.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Love yourself unconditionally and always believe in yourself to achieve your best dreams.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
Family is the cultural value I protect at all costs. In traditional Chinese culture, the family unit is the bedrock of our beliefs and identity, and its importance transcends everything else—fame, fortune, or personal gain. For me, my family is the ultimate source of my values and strength, and their well-being will always be my highest priority.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What will you regret not doing?
Not buying bitcoin early enough when it just launched in 2016. LOL!
