Story & Lesson Highlights with Aubry Mayfield & Lauryl Pingel of Tulsa

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Aubry Mayfield & Lauryl Pingel. Check out our conversation below.

Aubry & Lauryl, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Cooler temps rolling in and fall drinks available at Starbucks!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Stay Golden Organizing is a luxury professional organizing brand local to Tulsa, Oklahoma. We specialize in making spaces functional and beautiful. Our goal is to make the insides of a home look just nice as the outsides while creating systems that are functional for everyone in the home. We are two former teachers that launched our business in June of 2020. We quit our teaching jobs in 2021 and haven’t looked back since!

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
Both of us have incredibly hard-working parents! We were raised seeing them set goals and achieve them so we both have that woven into our genes.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You are capable of doing anything you set your mind to! Growing up, we both wanted to be teachers and while we did achieve that dream, we also changed gears quickly by becoming entrepreneurs even though that was never on our minds as children. You never know what could happen in your future!

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Honestly, any project we tackle, we are determined to finish no longer how long it takes us. Oftentimes when we pull everything out of one space, it can become very overwhelming to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But we always put our heads together and make it happen! Even if that means working till late into the evening.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
Our customers would miss the order and peace we bring to their homes!
