Robin Morgan shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Robin, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
I think one of the biggest misunderstandings about wedding photography is that it’s just about showing up with a camera and taking pretty pictures. For me, it’s so much more than that. My clients aren’t just ‘clients’ — I invest in their story, their personalities, and what matters most to them. I build relationships so that when I step into their wedding day, I’m not a stranger with a camera, I’m someone they already trust to capture their most important moments. What people often don’t realize is how much heart, preparation, and connection goes into this work. The photos are the end result, but the experience and the relationship behind them is what makes the images truly meaningful.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Robin Morgan, the owner and lead photographer of Robin Morgan Photography. I specialize in wedding photography that’s not just about documenting a day, but about telling a couple’s story in a way that feels authentic, timeless, and deeply personal. What makes my brand unique is the relationships I build with my clients — I truly believe that connection creates the most genuine images. Couples often say it feels easy and comfortable with me by their side, and that’s the kind of experience I love creating. Right now, I’m focused on creating unforgettable client experiences and continuing to grow a brand that reflects not just beautiful photography, but a heart for serving people on one of the most meaningful days of their lives.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Losing my brother was a defining moment that taught me how light and love can shine even in the toughest moments, and how much support and kindness surrounds us when we need it most. That perspective shapes how I work with my clients — I strive to show up fully present, with kindness and heart, making their experience feel meaningful and genuine. That perspective guides how I work with clients, reminding me that the next photo I take could hold a lifetime of meaning for them and their loved ones.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self this: fear will paralyze you, but faith will empower you. Take the time to discover your true passion and pray about it — you may not figure it out at 18 when you’re graduating high school, and that’s okay. Love what you do so it doesn’t feel like work. Surround yourself with people who will genuinely support and pray for you. Life is short, so falling in love with a passion and purpose will make it meaningful. Stay consistent, push through the hard times, and show up every day — you’re already ahead of 90%. You can do all things through Christ Jesus.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
If you asked my closest friends what matters most to me, they’d say faith, family, friends, kindness, and making memories — even appreciating the simple joys, like a sunrise. I value being present for my kids and capturing the moments that matter most, so we can cherish them as life moves forward. For me, relationships — with family, friends, or clients — are at the heart of everything I do, and making each moment count is what truly matters.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What will you regret not doing?
I know I would regret not traveling more. I have a deep desire to see the beauty of the world our Creator has made — from mountains and oceans to hidden little corners of the earth. I’m especially drawn to sunrises and sunsets, those quiet, magical moments that remind me how vast and incredible life is. Experiencing new places, cultures, and landscapes is more than just sightseeing to me — it’s a way to grow, appreciate the world, and create memories that last a lifetime.
