Lashunda , so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I love vinyl records and enjoy listening to my old school R&b albums and enjoying a glass of wine

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Lashunda Coates Owner and CEO of Igotdajuice Mobile Juice bar, I provide cold press juices, sea moss and introducing raw vegan dishes as well.
What makes it unique is that we more than just juices we provide an experience wellness in a bottle.

My journey started from posting my juices on Instagram to a full blown out business right during Covid from there we have done several farmers markets, catered juices for brands such as lululemon, yoga studios, and several vending opportunities..

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Having kids really shaped me !! I am a single parent of 3 kids 2 boys and 1 girl one of the hardest and most challenging things is being a single parent or having kids period. It humbles you and makes you appreciate the small things in life .

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Being a business owner has its ups and downs coming from the corporate world 20 years in healthcare being an entrepreneur is next level its more mentally challenging than anything it’s literally a walk of faith!

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That being a boss is just so glamorous!! People see the TikTok and Instagram reels and think being a boss is it!! What they don’t see is the mental breakdowns some days you might not bring any revenue, or the fact that you definitely need a team doing everything yourself you will eventually exhaust your self and you just can’t do it all you need help!

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Caring what people think you can get caught up especially with social media. I would love to travel and actually see the world I love nature !
