Niko, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Who are you learning from right now?
I’m learning to trust my creative intuition

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Niko Agrinzoné; a writer/director currently based in NYC that captures authentic human experiences. My work aims to visualize the nuances of everyday people and leave the audience questioning.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Around 2 years ago, I bought a one way ticket and ended up living in an artist hostel in Downtown LA with over 25 strangers. I was in a new environment that forced me to live with multiple people from all different backgrounds, cultures, ideas. In the end I found myself understanding not only more about myself, but how we’re all connected even when we feel so far apart.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear of myself and the unknown. I spent the majority of my life holding myself back even from incredible opportunities because the anxiety of “what if” terrified me. What if I completely screw this up? What if I’m not as good as I believe I am? The anxiety of those questions still arise from time to time, but I’m learning more to trust my creative intuition and the beautiful places it has brought me.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
I’d say it’s an aspect of the real me. I believe we all have a side of ourselves we present in public and contrary to what most may believe it can still be an authentic version of you just in a new environment. In general, I’m a guarded person but the thoughts, beliefs, and interactions I have with those in my community are just as authentic as the ones with my family and friends.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What will you regret not doing? 
I’ll regret not creating. While I prefer a visual medium, creation in any form is vital to my existence. We create everyday from complex, abstract works to everyday mundane tasks we often take for granted. Without creation we have nothing.
