Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Rob Corrall of Los Angeles

We recently had the chance to connect with Rob Corrall and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Rob, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
I wake up at 4.30am and start working before my kids wake up. I go for a run and then I take the kids to school Work the rest of the day and if it’s a weekend, I’m out DJing a wedding.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Rob, the founder of Second Song. He has been in the Event and Wedding DJ industry for over 10 years. After the birth of his 2nd child Rob decided to take a step back from his role as part of VOX DJs and established Second Song. Second Song was built to offer a boutique Wedding and Event DJ/MC service, with a focus on music, values, and providing a fully personalized service to its clients. Rob continues to DJ Weddings and Events every weekend, and main goal in life is to create the perfect balance between loving his work, and spending time with his family.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
When I realized how much I love DJing and bringing special moments to people everywhere.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I previously worked for a different DJ company and when that didn’t work out it was hard. I’ve never really wanted to give up and instead I took that experience to create something bigger and better.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My family.

That I brought a lot of joy to the people around me.
