We’re looking forward to introducing you to Elle Jackson. Check out our conversation below.
Elle, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I love this question, because I believe we’re all doing both in different ways. For me, it’s about walking a path that’s deeply aligned with my values and vision for the future, while also surrendering to the unknown and allowing myself to wander with trust. Wandering doesn’t mean being lost—it means being open to where the journey wants to take you.
Over the past seven months, I’ve been fully living this out. In February, I sold almost everything I owned, packed up my car with my dog Blue, and hit the road. Since then, we’ve traveled up and down the East Coast, spent time in Florida, journeyed to Costa Rica, visited Minnesota, explored California—and the adventure is still unfolding.
One of my biggest lessons has been learning to sit in the discomfort of not having a plan. Wandering with intention has opened me up to experiences, connections, and synchronicities I could have never dreamed of if I had tried to control every step. To me, that’s the beauty of walking a path while also wandering—you hold a vision, but you allow life to surprise you.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m Elle, the founder of Heart & Haven. I like to describe Heart & Haven as my soul business—it’s the fusion of my personal and professional passions, because I believe they should all co-exist.
Before starting my business, I spent years working as a brand designer and marketing director. I had the opportunity to build brands and marketing strategies from the inside out, which gave me an incredible foundation in the “how” of business growth. But what I noticed—again and again—was that something was missing. The strategies alone weren’t enough if the heart, the why, and the deeper alignment weren’t present. That realization inspired me to take everything I knew about branding and marketing and pair it with the inner work I had been doing on myself—mindset, energy, alignment—and that’s how Heart & Haven was born.
Now, I support heart-led leaders and soul seekers in brand embodiment. Through my process, I help you get clear on your vision, your unique energy, and your dream client so we can design a brand that feels like an extension of your soul. It’s not just about logos and fonts—it’s about creating clarity, confidence, and empowerment so you can show up in your business in a way that feels natural and magnetic.
Right now, I’m really excited about my new program, The Heart-Led Brand. It takes my proven process and makes it more accessible for entrepreneurs who want to go the self-guided route. My mission is to help more people feel deeply connected to what they’re building, so they can share their gifts with the world in a way that feels true to them.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I believe what breaks bonds between people is disconnection from truth. When we aren’t able to be vulnerable—to share who we really are, what we’ve experienced, and how we feel—we create separation. It’s easy to fall into comparison, judgment, or assumptions when the full picture isn’t being shared. We start protecting ourselves instead of connecting, and the walls go up.
What restores those bonds is presence, compassion, and the willingness to hold space for each other’s truths. There is so much power in simply being with someone in their experience, without needing to fix it, compare it, or diminish it. Their truth doesn’t take away from yours—both can co-exist. That’s where real connection lives.
I’ve found again and again—in life, in relationships, and even in business—that when people feel safe to be fully seen and heard, the walls come down. Vulnerability becomes the bridge back to each other, and authenticity becomes the foundation for trust.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Your voice matters. Your presence is your medicine—never something to be ashamed of.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
The marketing industry loves to sell the idea that there’s one perfect funnel, one proven blueprint, or one magic CTA that will guarantee success. While strategy and structure absolutely matter, one of the biggest lies I see is that these formulas work the same way for everyone. The truth is, most entrepreneurs—especially in the early stages—are skipping the most essential piece of marketing: the heart.
What often happens is that people hire marketing experts who plug them into a “best practices” playbook, but because it isn’t rooted in their unique story, values, or vision, the strategy feels hollow. Their audience can sense the disconnect. And then the entrepreneur starts believing that they are the problem, when really the problem is trying to layer a 7–8 figure strategy onto a brand that’s still finding its voice and foundation.
This leads to burnout, self-doubt, and a feeling of failure. Instead of feeling inspired to show up for their business, they end up questioning if they should keep going at all.
For me, marketing has to start from alignment. My goal is to empower entrepreneurs to feel deeply connected to their brand, their vision, and their why—so that when they share their work, it comes across as authentic and magnetic. When you’re marketing from that place, it doesn’t feel forced or performative. It feels natural. It feels true. And that’s what really builds trust, connection, and ultimately, long-term success.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
Honestly, choosing to build a life and business that’s fully aligned with my values instead of taking the safe or expected path. I could have stayed in the 9–5 world, followed the formula, and built a pretty “secure” life on paper—but it wouldn’t have felt true. Right now, every choice I’m making is like planting seeds. It’s not just about what will pay off in the next six months; it’s about creating something I’ll still be proud of 10 years from now.
The programs I’m building, the way I’m showing up for my clients, even the adventures I’m saying yes to—all of it is shaping a foundation that’s long-term. To me, the real payoff isn’t just financial—it’s knowing that I’ll look back a decade from now and see a life I actually chose, a life that feels like mine.
