Christine Bridges shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Christine, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Have you ever been glad you didn’t act fast?
Oh yes! Something I have learned as I gotten older. One thing this applies to is my script, Club Illusion The Movie. I wanted to start pitching right away and my co writer said take a breath. It ended up being a long one as I got cancer. Three years later it is a much better script. I have found that going back and rewriting and reading, in other words fine tuning this comedy gem has made it a jewel:) Though I must say that sometimes when I did not act fast I lost out.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, I am Christine Bridges, CEO of Carolina Cuties and Friends. We handle film production. Helping you put together cast and crew. We will be moving our main office to London late Sept. 2025. We are now in Los Angeles. Right now we working on a in house film attempting to get it off the ground. Takes place early 2000’s. A couple try to save a failing magic club with the help of drag queens and a horny duck. Friendship, love, murder, and laughter ensues. I myself have acted since five.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Oh no! No one has told me who to be. I am me that’s it! No phony allowed, though it seems to be the norm in LaLa land. This may have cost me opportunity, sometimes there is a price to pay.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
The loss of my parents. It is still a hard pill to swallow. I realized that I still want to make them proud of me so I got on with it. I think somehow they know what I am up to. Another wound was being diagnosed with chondrosarcoma, a very rare bone and soft tissue cancer. Less than 1% of adult cancer. It took over two years to figure out what was going on. I was knocking on heavens door so to speak. This happened Sept. 2023 and finally got a surgery date Feb 2024. The first of it’s kind. Once that happened I understood my kitties, my friends, and maybe the world needed me. The mind is a powerful healing tool.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
What you see is what you get! Just maybe clean hair and makeup.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
She did not give up, good friend, talented, made me laugh!
