Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Aleah Harris Hosea of Redlands California

We recently had the chance to connect with Aleah Harris Hosea and have shared our conversation below.

Aleah, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Have you stood up for someone when it cost you something?
I stand for the Word of God every single day. His Word is truth, but the world often resists that truth. It has cost me popularity, friendships, and even relationships with some family members—because not everyone wants to hear what the Lord Jesus Christ says about the way we live. Even when it’s spoken from a place of love, humility, and without judgment, the reality is… not everyone wants to receive it.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Aleah Harris Hosea, and I’m the CEO of ChurchLingo Clothing. We empower people to thrive through bold, conversation-sparking designs that naturally share the gospel—with style.

Our mission is to build a community that loves Jesus Christ and people as deeply as we do. We want to make it easier to share God’s Word—even when starting a conversation feels intimidating. Our apparel is designed to do the talking for you, sparking meaningful interactions and serving as a reminder to anyone who sees it—whether they’re walking through a store, passing by on the street, or just going about their day—that it’s always the right time to talk to the Father.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
The Lord Jesus Christ saw me clearly long before I could ever see myself. As He says in Scripture, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you”—even before I was born, He already knew me.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Back in 2015, there was a time when I wanted to give up. I was becoming depressed, and I wasn’t feeling happy or upbeat. I had dreams and aspirations, but they felt blurry and out of reach. It wasn’t until I cried out to the Lord and asked Him to show me how to live a life that pleased Him that everything began to change.

Through His guidance, I found the strength to push forward and caught the vision for what would become ChurchLingo Clothing—a way to spread the love of Jesus Christ to anyone willing to listen. By His grace, we’ve grown in ways we never imagined, and today, our products are carried inside a Christian store in Redlands, California named Selah Christian Store on Tennessee St. Be sure to stop by if you’re in the area.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
John 14:6 —

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
Yes, I am living out my purpose—to live a life that is both satisfying and pleasing to my Lord Jesus Christ. I strive to be a doer of the Word, not just a hearer who deceives themselves. Guided by the Holy Spirit, I seek to love the Lord my God with all my heart, soul, and mind—as Jesus said in Matthew 22:37, “And I aim to love my neighbor as myself Matthew 22:39, “
