We recently had the chance to connect with PIVE and have shared our conversation below.
PIVE, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
Right now I am 100% chasing two dreams. Continuing to purse my passion for music, as well as wanting to be a county manager one day in the Title & Escrow industry. If I stop either I think I would regret it the rest of my life not knowing if I gave it my all.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Ryan Mullane, I go by the stage name PIVE, I am based in Spokane, Washington, it always feels like hip-hop has been hardwired into my DNA. I made headlines following the release of my “I Will Forever Be” album series, and to date, nothing has been the same again. My journey is one marked by constant evolution and growth. I am someone who is always looking to push beyond the limits, going by the principle that I am as good as my last record. I just dropped my new album called Dreamer. This is my 4th album and most dynamic one yet.
On top of that in my career I have been climbing the ranks in the Title & Escrow Industry. I’ve been learning everything I can when it comes to the industry. In turn it’s made me one of the most sought after professionals in Spokane County.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
My Dad was one of the hardest working people I have ever known. He helped give me the drive to push as hard as I can if you want to succeed.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
It boggles my mind how people can be so cruel and judgmental because my passion happens to be hip hop/pop music. Like this is my dream not yours you know? And the gossip is what really gets to me sometimes especially in my daily personal/work life.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
What I write about in my music is so personal most times that I am really an open book. What you see is what you get.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
A man who never gave up no matter how much the odds were stacked against him. A person who had a drive & energy like no other. One who inspired people not by what he said in his music. But by the way he lived his life in wanting to help others.
