Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Zoe 郑

Zoe 郑 shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Zoe, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
I would because I deliver.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a motion designer/animation artist based in SF. In my previous lives, I storyboarded viral Instagram series with 7 million views, worked in public relations in West Hollywood networking celebrity stylists, created marketing campaigns shown in Times Square and at Cannes Lions, and directed internationally screened animated shorts.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Trust, shared moments, listening.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
It’s not about success, it’s about keep going in the direction I believe in.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
Slowing down?

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
Curious eyes.
