Good morning Christina & Edward, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, one of the things bringing us the most joy outside of work was our recent visit to Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center. We had the chance to tour the hospital, meet the incredible team at Seacrest Studios, and donate copies of A Day at Shea, our coloring books, and some fun squishy baseballs. Christina even got to read the book during storytime, and seeing the kids light up with joy and curiosity was truly unforgettable.

It reminded us why we do what we do—using storytelling to spark imagination, create connection, and spread hope. Giving back in spaces that support children and families brings us deep, meaningful joy. That visit filled our hearts and reinforced our purpose.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Sledge House Media® is a multi-platform entertainment and production company founded in 2021 by married couple, Christina and Edward Sledge.

Our Story: Christina and Edward Sledge’s journey began with just two quarters, but early challenges only served to forge their resilience. As a military family, they learned invaluable skills in balancing obligations. These experiences not only shaped their character but also instilled a determination that became the driving force behind their decision to start a business. Their military background provided them with a unique perspective and a strong foundation, which proved crucial in navigating the ups and downs of entrepreneurship

Our Products and Services: Sledge House Media has garnered multiple awards for its diverse and compelling stories that highlight unique perspectives, experiences, and relationships. Specializing in a variety of entertainment formats including publications, films, audiobooks, and streaming projects, Sledge House Media offers a rich tapestry of content for its audience. Sledge House Media also offers live storytelling, video production, ghostwriting, turnkey publishing services, wide distribution, multi-genre publishing, and self-publishing assistance.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My great-grandmother, Mama, was the person who truly saw me. She inspired me to strive for greatness. I learned that I am an overachiever, and I enjoy striving for goals. She saw that I had a bright future ahead of me before I could clearly see it.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
When I was in college, I was a semester away from completing my undergraduate degree, I was a newlywed and pregnant with my first child. I had to retake a computer science course the following semester to fulfill my graduation requirements. Which meant I would need to take at least 6 months to a year off to take care of my daughter, I was also a new Army wife, and moving to Georgia. It was a tough decision to make. As a new mother, I naturally prioritized my child’s well-being first over finishing my education. I didn’t let taking over a year and a half off deter me from reaching my goals. I could have easily given up, as going back to school a year and a half later meant I now had a baby, and I was working full-time while completing my degree. I received permission to enroll as a transient student at Savannah State University, which allowed me to complete my course requirements at Savannah State University while fulfilling the requirements at Temple University. After completing the course, I finally graduated! It was a dream temporarily delayed. I learned persistence and determination through that experience.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Being an entrepreneur is a commitment. I realized my true purpose is to create something from the ground up and make it my own, no matter how long it takes.

I feel the most peace when I sit still and meditate.
