Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Ebony Beser of BAYAREA

We recently had the chance to connect with Ebony Beser and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Ebony , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
I think the misunderstanding about ECBC, LLC is that we are like other crochet artists/brands/businesses. ECBC, LLC is a Luxury crochet brand, the ‘luxury’ behind the brand being that all pieces and products are hand made with an intentional style and or design. At ECBC, LLC no one design is a mock up or duplicate of any other crochet piece created by another designer, we take pride in KNOWING that all pieces can’t be found anywhere else, unless it is a mock up of an ECBC, LLC original design. Another misunderstanding being that ECBC, LLC only specializes in Crochet pieces. ECBC, LLC has two sister brands being ‘Ecbcosmetics’ and ‘Ecbhome’ specializing in Vegan beauty and cosmetics products and hand made home goods and decor. ECBC, LLC is a multifaceted brand.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Ebony Cimon Belser CEO, and designer of ECBC, LLC. I specialize in hand making crochet pieces/goods, vegan beauty and cosmetic products, and more to come. The sky is the limit ! The beauty about ECBC, LLC is that it continues to grow in more ways than 1. ECBC, LLC can be found on multiple platforms including YouTube, instagram, and twitch. You can also simply google ‘Ebony Belser’ for more information about myself and ECBC,LLC as a whole.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, who came from humble beginnings I honestly didn’t believe the things that I have achieved thus far, could be achieved coming from where I’m from. With that being said never let your environment limit you and what it is that you want to achieve in life in general. Anything is possible *

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There have been plenty of times I’ve wanted to give up, and I believe that’s common. Sometimes it gets really discouraging just to keep going, especially when you’re not seeing the results you want in the time frame you’d like. The key is to stay consistent. Giving up is way too easy.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
One thing about me is that I show up as MYSELF any and everywhere, in person and/or virtually. As a reserved and private person, when I am open to share ANYTHING it is always TRUE and with pure intentions. I value just being ‘present’ I don’t live or get paid to preform.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What will you regret not doing?
In business, I would regret not taking ‘risks’ and the opportunities I have and will be blessed with, and just giving up overall. That would be my biggest regret.
