Meet Natasha Norris

We recently connected with Natasha Norris and have shared our conversation below.

Natasha, we are so appreciative of you taking the time to open up about the extremely important, albeit personal, topic of mental health. Can you talk to us about your journey and how you were able to overcome the challenges related to mental issues? For readers, please note this is not medical advice, we are not doctors, you should always consult professionals for advice and that this is merely one person sharing their story and experience.

For me, overcoming the challenges tied to mental health hasn’t been about pretending they don’t exist; it’s been about giving myself permission to acknowledge them, feel them, and then do the work to heal. As a survivor of childhood trauma and someone who lives with fibromyalgia, I’ve had to navigate both emotional and physical pain that, for years, I carried in silence. The turning point came when I realized that silence was costing me more than speaking up ever could.

I began to prioritize radical self-care; not the glamorous kind, but the kind that looks like therapy, boundaries, rest, and choosing myself every single day. Launching Voices of Freedom and Skincare by CMG wasn’t just a business move—it was a healing move. It gave me a way to turn my pain into purpose, and my story into a platform that reminds others they’re not alone.

Persistence, for me, means honoring my limits, embracing my truth, and choosing to show up anyway; flawed, healing, and still powerful. Mental health is not a weakness; it’s a battleground I’ve learned how to navigate with grace, community, and courage.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m Natasha Norris, the founder of Skincare by CMG, the host of a new nationally syndicated TV show, Voices of Freedom, and a proud Navy veteran turned entrepreneur and healing advocate. Everything I create, whether it’s a product, a platform, or a podcast, is rooted in one mission: to help people feel seen, valued, and empowered to live in their truth.

What I do is so much more than skincare or media; it’s about creating spaces where healing and transformation can happen. Through Skincare by CMG, I offer full-spectrum, plant-based skincare that supports self-care from the outside in. And through Voices of Freedom, I amplify stories of resilience, entrepreneurship, and purpose on a platform that reaches over 10 million+ viewers. What’s most exciting about my work is the impact; seeing someone reclaim their voice, their glow, or their confidence, and knowing that I played a small part in that process.

Right now, I’m incredibly excited about a few major things:

We begin taping for Voices of Freedom this November in Atlanta, and I’ve opened 10 exclusive guest and sponsorship opportunities for entrepreneurs ready to elevate their brand.

I recently launched our Men’s Skincare Line and am expanding into seasonal collections and international markets.

I’m also building out more educational self-care content, like The Self-Care Blueprint and interactive virtual experiences designed to help women set boundaries, reconnect with themselves, and radiate from the inside out.

Everything I create comes from a place of lived experience: trauma, healing, faith, and growth. I believe in the power of story, the importance of visibility, and the truth that when we take care of ourselves, we show up stronger in every area of our lives.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1. Resilience

Life has handed me more than a few storms: childhood trauma, chronic illness, and the challenges of transitioning from military to civilian life. But resilience became my superpower. It taught me how to keep showing up, even when it hurt. For anyone early in their journey: don’t wait to feel strong; build your strength by taking small steps, even when you’re afraid. Healing and success are both on the other side of consistency.

2. Vision-Driven Leadership

I’ve always believed in building from purpose, not popularity. Whether launching Skincare by CMG or creating Voices of Freedom, I let vision lead. It kept me grounded when results were slow and fueled my creativity when I felt stuck. My advice? Get crystal clear on why you’re doing what you’re doing. That clarity will be your compass through every high and low.

3. Communication & Storytelling

The ability to communicate my story authentically has opened doors I didn’t even know existed. It’s not just about marketing; it’s about connection. People resonate with truth. If you’re just starting out, practice telling your story in a way that honors your journey and speaks to the hearts of others. Your voice is your most valuable asset; own it, refine it, and share it boldly.

Advice in a sentence? Stay rooted in purpose, lead with authenticity, and don’t be afraid to start before you feel fully “ready”—the path will form under your feet as you move.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

My ideal client is purpose-driven, growth-minded, and ready to be seen.

Whether they’re a skincare customer, a guest on Voices of Freedom, or a brand I’m supporting through media visibility, the common thread is this: they care about impact just as much as income. They’ve likely been through something; personally or professionally, and they’re not afraid to turn their story into strategy.

For Skincare by CMG, my ideal client is someone who values clean beauty, holistic self-care, and understands that taking care of their skin is an act of healing and confidence. They’re often juggling a lot: career, family, community, but they’re learning to put themselves back on their own to-do list.

For Voices of Freedom, my ideal guest or sponsor is a business owner, thought leader, or change-maker who’s ready to amplify their voice, elevate their visibility, and use media to position themselves for greater purpose, profit, and legacy. They’ve done the inner work, or they’re in the middle of it, and they want their brand to reflect not just what they do, but who they are.

The ideal client for me is someone who’s not looking for perfection, but alignment; someone who’s ready to glow, grow, and be bold about both.
