Meet Alejandro Ayala

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Alejandro Ayala a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Alejandro, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?

I believe that everyone is going through something. We all need to vent or share or congregate somehow. The ocean doesn’t get mad because we put boats and people and fill it with trash. It continues to be the ocean and flows how it needs to. We all have the ability to co exist, but do we have the ability to not take everything so personal? My struggles are not yours, but if that’s how one chooses to express themselves maybe it’s on me to find the right interpretation or meaning behind what’s going on.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Myself and my business go hand in hand. Be tough when needed work hard often. Learn that breaks are needed and very useful when done the right way. What excites me most about my business is the ability to meet new people, vibe with everyone, and give everyone a chance to be a better version of themselves. I’ve just opened a new location at 1870 s acoma st. Denver co 80223. The space is triple the size of my last space. We offer boxing and kickboxing classes for all levels. Right now in these stages of a gym is when the real changes and greatness starts.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1.be open the listening and looking at more than one point of view. I say this, there’s not two sides of the coin. There’s three. The heads the tails and the skinny edge around the outside. We all could use a bit more understanding and open mindedness in our daily lives.

2. Let others be the main character of the story at times. Yes self reflect and yes make yourself important. Just don’t forget everyone else is also trying to become something more as well.

3.Stop saying sorry for everything. You wouldn’t tell anyone else they are “sorry” so many times for most anything, why is it ok for you tell others this about yourself. Excuse me, pardon me are much better options. Save the “I’m sorry” for when it’s needed and when you need it, it will count for so much more.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?

Exactly what I’m doing now. Building something to help support my family. Building relationships that will last past my time. Continue spending time with my daughter and helping her grow into a wonderful well rounded human being.
