Candis White of Hartford, CT on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Candis White . Check out our conversation below.

Candis , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: Who are you learning from right now?
Every day is about stepping into my worth and helping others do the same. I believe that confidence and purpose are habits we cultivate, not just traits we’re born with. Through my work, I aim to create spaces where people feel empowered to show up fully as themselves. Growth doesn’t happen overnight, but I’ve learned that consistent action and intention make all the difference. Ultimately, my goal is to inspire others to embrace their own worth and walk boldly in their purpose.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Candis White, founder and CEO of Cozi of CT, a brand created to inspire, empower, and remind people that “we woke up worthy.” Through my products and experiences, I focus on helping individuals embrace their self-worth, walk confidently in their purpose, and prioritize intentional living. What makes Cozi of CT unique is our approach: we combine everyday inspiration with tangible products that encourage personal growth and self-care. I’m passionate about creating spaces and experiences that uplift and motivate, whether it’s through events, digital content, or our wellness-focused offerings. Every day, my mission is to leave a lasting impact, showing others that confidence, purpose, and empowerment are habits anyone can cultivate.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that has served its purpose and now must be released is the part that doubted my worth and hesitated to step fully into my purpose. I’ve spent time overthinking, comparing myself, and trying to fit into spaces that weren’t designed for me. That season taught me important lessons, gave me resilience, and prepared me to build my brand, Cozi of CT, and live with intention. Releasing this part allows me to embrace my confidence, walk boldly in my purpose, and fully empower others to recognize their own worth.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that has held me back the most is the fear of not being enough—of not having the experience, the resources, or the confidence to step fully into my purpose. There were moments I hesitated, overthought, or questioned whether my vision could really make an impact. But I’ve learned that fear is often just a signal pointing me toward growth. Releasing that fear has allowed me to build myself and my business, inspire others, and walk boldly in the confidence that I was made for this purpose. Every day, I remind myself that I am worthy, capable, and more than enough.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed to building Cozi of CT into a brand that empowers and inspires people to embrace their worth and walk in purpose, no matter how long it takes. This isn’t just about business, it’s about creating a legacy of confidence, self-love, and intentional living that reaches beyond myself. Every product, experience, and message is designed to remind people that they woke up worthy and capable of showing up fully in their lives. I know growth and impact take time, but I’m dedicated to the process, the consistency, and the journey of leaving a lasting, positive mark.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
If I laid down my name, my role, and my possessions, what would remain is my essence my faith, my purpose, and the impact I leave on others. Stripped of titles and things, what truly matters is the love, encouragement, and empowerment I share. It’s the part of me that refuses to shrink, that shows up fully, and that reminds others and myself that we woke up worthy. At the core, what remains is my commitment to growth, confidence, and walking boldly in the life I was created to live. Everything else is temporary, but this essence is eternal.
