Ari, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
I would hire me if you wanted to hire a unique, heartfelt, and professional Magician and Mentalist, who has a creative and unique approach to Magic, built for the modern times, with personal meaning and interaction built into every routine and experience!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi there, my name is Ari Rose, and I am a professional Magician and Mentalist, Dancer, Model, and Alternative Content creator based out of Orlando, Florida! I love entertaining people, and making them feel something through my art, while still making it approachable and personal to each and every person I interact with! I love being a Magician and Mentalist for this reason, I get to connect with so many people!
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
This is such an interesting question! I think life is such a journey, and we ebb and flow so much constantly in it! I think I have really come back to how I was before the world told me who I had to be, compassionate, caring, and loving! I feel like a few times in my life I lost a little of that, but at my core it was still there! And I came back to it, and live incorporating that into my Magic! I also feel like the way I dress is now the most authentic to myself that I’ve ever been, and dressing how my younger self always wanted to, but never did has been such a wonderful experience!
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There have been many times that I almost gave up in my life, especially after some pretty tough experiences in my life with toxic people in power positions. It has been a really big journey finding myself after being in really controlled situations under the authority of people that didn’t have my best interests in mind, but rather their own. But nonetheless each and every time, after those experiences, I never gave up. Sometimes we will change or change routes, but never give up!
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes! Maybe a more idealized version in a way, I.e everything is very curated, but I pride myself on letting myself come through in all of my social media, friendships, relationships, and interactions with clients even! I think it’s so important to show up as yourself, and to infuse yourself into all of your art and performance as well as in life!
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What will you regret not doing?
You will always regret the opportunities you didn’t take, or go for! Step outside of your comfort zone! You will regret it if you don’t, if your life is full of what ifs! My Fiance Rocco has really helped to teach me/ reinforce that to me!
