Ebony Denise Sanders shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Ebony Denise, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
Currently I find myself wandering, not aimlessly but wandering nonetheless. Walking a path means I have a destination and I know that I am actively working towards and attempting to achieve a specific goal. That’s not where I am right now . I am finding myself and trying to figure out what goals if any that I want to set for myself to achieve.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Well the plain version of what I do is a travel agent. However I give my clients an experience ! It’s not just I book your trip and that is the end.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
My maternal grandmother Pauline Evans. She always instilled in me the value of hard work and what it can do for me. She always told me that a woman is supposed to work hard for the things that she wants. Independence is a must for a woman growing up in the world and it is such an amazing feeling to never have to be told no because you can get it yourself. By any means necessary go and get your own!
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear of not knowing what the outcome will be, of the unknown. Being absolutely sure that the next move is the one I want and need to make but not knowing what is on the other side of the door. I’m one of those people that likes to know what is going to happen and although I should know by now that I will never 100% know anything if I don’t try, I still find myself holding back. I am actively working on changing this and with prayer and the help of my family, fiancé and friends I am slowly coming out of this.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
✨ “At my core, what matters most to me is nurturing meaningful connections. My family and faith are the foundation of who I am, and I strive to extend those same values outward—making sure the people around me feel truly seen, safe, and supported. Creating spaces where others feel valued and cared for is not just important to me, it’s part of how I live my life.”
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Wasting time and hesitating. The only thing worse than wasted money is wasted time and you can’t ever time back. Best thing to do is push ahead and forward.
