We’re looking forward to introducing you to Tatiana Petrov . Check out our conversation below.
Tatiana , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
I lose track of time when I dive into my own reflections — it helps me reconnect with myself. This happens especially when I am by the ocean, in places of personal power, or in moments when maintaining balance and being in harmony with myself is important. It was from these moments that my book “The Essence of Self” was born, and later, the course based on it. These are the moments when time seems to disappear, and you truly return to yourself.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Tatiana, and I am the author of “The Essence of Self”, a book that was born from years of personal exploration and a deep desire to help others reconnect with their inner truth. Alongside writing, I am also a successful serial entrepreneur and a happy mother—two roles that have taught me resilience, creativity, and the importance of balance in very different ways.
What began as a personal journey turned into a philosophy and then into a course that guides people toward harmony, authenticity, and presence. What makes my work unique is that it is not about quick fixes or external measures of success—it is about going inward, learning to listen to yourself, and creating a life that feels true. My brand is not just a book or a course, but an invitation to rediscover your essence and to live with greater awareness and joy.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
It was my grandmother. She had a way of looking at me that felt like she could see not just who I was, but who I might become. She never rushed me, never tried to mold me, but always reminded me to stay true to myself. That quiet support gave me confidence long before I found my own voice.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me humility, patience, and compassion in a way success never could. Success is often loud and visible, but suffering is quiet—it strips away illusions and forces you to meet yourself as you truly are. Those moments of pain became my greatest teachers; they showed me that real strength is born in silence, and that healing begins when you stop running from your own truth.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies is that transformation can be quick or easy—that a single book, course, or technique will “fix” everything. Real change takes time, presence, and courage. My work is not about selling shortcuts, but about guiding people back to themselves—because that is where the answers always were.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes. In fact, most of my deepest work has been done in silence, without applause. Writing, reflecting, raising children, building a business—all of these things required my complete dedication long before anyone noticed. I believe that true legacy is created in those quiet moments when you reveal your true self, even without receiving recognition.
