Victoria Mack shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Victoria , it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are very intentional. I start with prayer to center myself spiritually, followed by speaking affirmations to set a positive mindset. Then I dedicate time to exercise, which gives me energy and focus. This routine grounds me and helps me show up as my best self throughout the day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Victoria Mack, and I’m a creative entrepreneur, storyteller, and founder of several brands that all reflect different parts of who I am. Through Mack Glam-Ish, I create beauty, skincare, and lifestyle products designed to make people feel confident and radiant in their everyday lives.
With Mz. V’s Kitchen, I celebrate my love for food, wellness, and community through spices, sauces, and creative food concepts. I also design faith-inspired fashion and accessories with Rooted in 31:25 Collective, which blends style with spiritual strength.
What makes my work unique is how it’s all connected — beauty, food, fashion, and storytelling but always rooted in culture, empowerment, and authenticity.
My projects are not just products; they’re platforms to inspire, uplift, and bring people together. Whether it’s writing books, producing film and stage projects, or building community through philanthropy with Victorious1 Heart and Soul, I’m always working on ways to create impact while staying true to my story and my roots on the Westside of Chicago.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding my creative storytelling through new books, stage plays, and documentaries, while also building out lifestyle experiences and events tied to my brands. At the heart of everything I do is faith, creativity, and a commitment to making people feel seen, inspired, and celebrated.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful was in my late teenage years at the age of 19, the moment when I realized that what people think about me doesn’t define me. That moment taught me that I can do whatever I want in life, no matter how long it takes me to get it right.
That freedom to live on my own terms and move at my own pace, gave me the confidence to embrace my journey fully.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain the moment I picked up a pen and started writing.
Writing gave me a voice, and I wanted the entire world to know my story not just the hurt, but the journey that led me to joy. Turning pain into words gave me power, and sharing that transformation is what continues to fuel me.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
For me, the difference is in the roots. A fad feels trendy, surface-level, and temporary. A foundational shift, on the other hand, is something that keeps showing up, reshaping the way we think, live, or connect.
I look for patterns and consistency over time, that’s how I know it’s something worth investing in.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I’m living out what I was born to do — not what I was told to do.
My purpose is clear: to give back to my community, to tell my truth and bring joy to others through my writing and to create products that heal and celebrate the body.
Everything I do comes from a place of authenticity and calling.
