An Inspired Chat with DJ iSizzle of Seattle

We’re looking forward to introducing you to DJ iSizzle. Check out our conversation below.

Hi DJ, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
For me, the first 90 minutes of my day set the tone for everything. I usually start with a light morning workout at the gym and a strong cup of coffee. From there, I dive into music: checking out new tracks, updating playlists, and making notes on song transitions or mashups I want to try out at upcoming events.

If I have a wedding or event coming up, I’ll also spend part of that time reviewing the couple’s music plan, double-checking my equipment list, and making sure everything is organized. It’s a mix of creativity and preparation, so by the time I’m ready to take on the rest of the day, I already feel energized, inspired, and focused.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m DJ iSizzle (Pronounced Eye Sizzle), a wedding and event DJ with over a decade of experience creating unforgettable moments at weddings, parties, and corporate events through high-energy sets and seamless MC work. What makes my brand unique is the focus on connection. The i makes it personal, and the sizzle makes it unforgettable. I don’t just play music, I craft experiences that bring people together.

From elegant ceremonies to large-scale celebrations, I pride myself on reading the crowd, mixing custom playlists, and keeping the dance floor alive all night. Beyond events, I host a podcast, Behind the Booth with DJ iSizzle, and I’m producing new music that blends tropical, disco, and electronic vibes. At the heart of it all is my passion for turning every event into a memory people will never forget.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
One moment that really shaped how I see the world was during a wedding I DJed where a couple’s grandparents, who hadn’t danced in years, got up and shared a slow dance. Seeing that pure joy and connection, strangers smiling, generations celebrating love together, reminded me that life’s most meaningful moments are about people and shared experiences, not perfection or planning. That memory still inspires everything I do behind the booth.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell my younger self to trust the journey and believe in your own rhythm. Everything you’re learning now, the ups, the downs, the music, the people, is shaping the person you’re meant to become. Be patient, stay passionate, and never be afraid to dance like nobody’s watching.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely! The public version of me is still me, just the part that loves sharing music, energy, and good vibes with everyone. At my core, I’m genuine, passionate, and all about connection, whether I’m DJing or just hanging out. Music is just the way I get to bring that part of me to life for others.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Great question! Honestly, I’d stop doubting myself and stop setting limits on what I can achieve. I’d fully embrace my passions, chase new opportunities, and hopefully inspire others to do the same along the way.
