Meet Angie Rowan

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Angie Rowan a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Angie, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?

My generosity comes from a place where I don’t ever want to see someone who is genuinely trying in life go without especially if I have the ability to help,

To me, generosity isn’t about grand gestures, it’s about noticing where someone might need a hand and offering what I can without hesitation.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Ārow Vision Interiors is more than just a design studio—it’s an extension of who I am as a woman of color , a creative, and someone who believes in the beauty of diversity. My perspective is shaped not only by my education and passion for design but also by my lived experiences. I want clients to feel seen, celebrated, and represented in the spaces I create.

Being a woman in this industry, I know how important it is to bring fresh perspectives and break away from the idea that design has to look one way. Diversity fuels my creativity, allowing me to blend influences, cultures, and personal stories into designs that feel authentic and timeless.

Looking ahead, I want to expand Ārow Vision Interiors beyond just local projects in Utah—I envision collaborating with clients across the country and even globally through virtual design services. My goal is to build a brand that not only delivers beautiful spaces but also uplifts communities, empowers other women, and inspires more inclusive conversations within the design world. I see Ārow Vision Interiors growing into a name that stands for individuality, creativity, and the power of diverse voices in shaping the environments we live in.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1. One of the most valuable parts of my journey (and why formal schooling is important) to becoming an interior designer has been gaining structural knowledge.

Design isn’t only about how a space looks—it’s also about how it functions, how it flows, and how the bones of a building support its purpose. Understanding structure has allowed me to look beyond surface-level aesthetics and truly see the possibilities within a space.

2. Being Driven: After years in the mortgage industry, I realized I was craving something deeper—something that allowed me to express my creativity and connect with people in a more personal, meaningful way.

As the interest rates increased, the industry had major layoffs so Interior design became the natural path forward because it lets me use the skills I built in the mortgage world—attention to detail, problem-solving, and client care—while finally tapping into the creative side of myself. Now, every project feels like proof that I chose the right path.

3. Flexibility: Flexibility has been one of the most important qualities in my journey as an interior designer. No two clients, spaces, or projects are ever the same, and being able to adapt has allowed me to meet people where they are while still guiding them toward functioning beautiful solutions.

For me, flexibility isn’t about compromise, it’s about resilience. It’s the mindset that allows me to balance vision with reality, and to design spaces that truly reflect each client’s unique lifestyle and needs.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I’m always looking to collaborate with professionals who share the same commitment to creating incredible spaces—especially Realtors and builders. As an interior designer, I can add value by helping clients envision the full potential of a property, whether it’s staging a home for sale, designing interiors for new builds, or providing styling that elevates a space.

Together, we can create experiences that go beyond the transaction and truly inspire clients.

If you’re a Realtor or builder interested in working together, I’d love to connect. You can reach me directly through [IG @arowinteriors, arowinteriors.com or [email protected]]—let’s start a conversation about how we can bring more value to clients through partnership.
