Alena Le Blanc of Castro Valley on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Alena Le Blanc and have shared our conversation below.

Alena, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
I just celebrated 5 years of Le Blanc Label, and it’s a milestone that makes me feel incredibly proud! When I first started as a personal stylist in the San Francisco Bay Area, I simply wanted to help women feel more confident in their own skin. What’s grown from that is so much more than I imagined. I’ve had the honor of supporting incredible female founders, entrepreneurs, and professionals as they step into their next chapter with style. Looking back on the transformations and the “wow, this feels like me” moments, I feel so grateful. Being a San Francisco personal stylist has allowed me to not only build a business, but also create lasting connections and impact through style.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Alena Le Blanc, the Founder and Personal Stylist behind Le Blanc Label, a personal styling company based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I work with female founders, entrepreneurs, and professionals who want to elevate their style and show up with confidence in both their business and personal lives. What makes Le Blanc Label unique is that we go beyond shopping—we focus on intentional styling, building wardrobes that reflect who my clients truly are, and creating a personal image that aligns with their next level. With my background in fashion design and over a decade in the industry, I bring both a creative eye and a deep understanding of fit, quality, and lifestyle needs. Right now, I’m especially excited about my VIP Style Package, which gives women long-term support to refine their style, save time, and step fully into the version of themselves they aspire to be. At the heart of my work is the belief that personal style is personal development, and that’s what makes what I do so special.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I always believed I would grow up to be a fashion designer. It was my dream, and I shaped my entire path toward it. I was fortunate enough to achieve that dream and work in the fashion industry, but over time I realized I am capable of so much more than I ever imagined. Today, as an entrepreneur and personal stylist, I’ve learned that my identity doesn’t have to be defined by just one passion. Being a business owner allows me to wear many hats, continue learning, and challenge myself daily. That shift showed me I’m not just a fashion designer. I’m a stylist, a mentor, a businesswoman, and someone who helps women transform their lives through personal style.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
It would be: you can do anything you truly want. You’re smart, disciplined, and creative, and those traits will take you so far.

I’d remind her that all those little entrepreneurial adventures, from lemonade stands to selling dance lessons in the neighborhood (and even the potpourri I picked from my neighbor Tina’s flowers—sorry, Tina!), were the early signs of a future entrepreneur. Every one of those experiences played a role in shaping the businesswoman and personal stylist I am today.

I’d tell her not to be afraid of putting herself out there, because trying new things and taking risks is exactly what leads to growth, confidence, and impact.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I deeply admire Sara Blakely, the Founder of Spanx. I’ve always loved that she built a hugely successful business while staying grounded, authentic, and deeply caring about her employees. She identified a gap in the market, created a product that changed women’s lives, and did it with vision and heart. When Blackstone acquired a majority stake in Spanx at a $1.2 billion valuation, she celebrated not by spotlighting herself, but by gifting each employee $10,000 in cash and two first-class plane tickets anywhere in the world. To me, that’s the mark of a true leader, someone who uplifts others along the journey.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
It’s funny, because I’ve built my career around clothes, fashion, and connecting with others, but I feel most at peace when I’m outside. Being by the water (Ocean or pool) or starting my day in my backyard with my dogs, meditating, journaling, and reading, brings me such a sense of calm. Those quiet moments in nature ground me and remind me to slow down, breathe, and feel whole.
