We’re looking forward to introducing you to Danielle Green. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Danielle, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
I loose track of time when I am creating. I love painting, sketching and creating new ways to express myself. The process is meditative for me. Many times without a plan I channel the flow of where my energy takes me. It’s cathartic and gives me great peace in my heart. In turn I am able to pass along these practices to my students.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Danielle Green and I am a teacher and the owner of Meditate and Create L.L.C.
I have been working independently since 2022 teaching children and adults meditation and mindfulness techniques coupled with creative expression.
Meditate and Create offers a supportive space where clients, starting at age 5, can confidently express their individuality and emotions.
A unique part of our program is the focus on connecting with nature. We emphasize respect for the planet and its inhabitants, helping people of all ages deepen their connection to both nature and themselves.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
My story is not unique. I experienced the pains of having to grow up too fast, not feeling bright enough, good enough and have endured harmful experiences much too early into childhood that in part impacted my adulthood. I relied on other people’s opinions to guide my existence. Since personally using the techniques I now teach, I’m happy to report I am a recovered “people pleaser”.
Today I know my worth. My ideas are my own and they are good. I have learned how to use my voice and help empower others along the way. It is my passion and gift to make positive change whenever possible.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Pain has a way of reshaping us in ways we often don’t realize until after we’ve endured it. While the experience itself can feel overwhelming, it often builds resilience, showing us just how much we are capable of surviving. Challenges that once seemed insurmountable become stepping stones, strengthening our ability to face the future with greater courage and confidence.
It also deepens our empathy. When we’ve known suffering ourselves, we tend to recognize it in others and respond with more kindness, patience, and understanding. This creates stronger connections and helps us value the people and relationships that matter most.
Most importantly, pain has a clarifying effect. It strips away the unnecessary and highlights what truly matters—our health, peace of mind, and the love we share with others. In this way, pain often becomes a catalyst for growth and transformation, pushing us to make changes we might otherwise avoid and guiding us toward a more meaningful, authentic life.
Success of course feels great. However, the pain of suffering teaches a depth of being we would not experience with quick success.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
I am authentic no matter the audience. I am proud of who I am at the core of my being. I have worked at getting to know myself. My likes, dislikes, and where I need boundaries for myself or others. It is BECAUSE I know myself, I feel comfortable in my existence.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Are you tap dancing to work? Have you been that level of excited at any point in your career? If so, please tell us about those days.
These “tap dancing” days are happening now for me. I simply LOVE what I do. Working with my community, providing tools, skills and techniques to help navigate emotional wellbeing is my greatest honor and happiness. Seeing people of all ages embrace their own creativity and peace inspires me.
