Kilo Angeleno of Los Angeles on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Kilo Angeleno and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Kilo Angeleno, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
First 90 minutes of my day I meditate, visualize, and pray. I enjoying reading as well. Lastly, I get a good workout in before starting my day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a Latin Pop Artist, singer/songwriter, and entertainer. The core message is nostalgia reminiscent on love stories and sometimes some “toxic masculinity.” The heartbreak storytelling entrepreneur that helps you process heartbreak through song.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Having a stroke and being in ICU for a week really changed my outlook on life and how I see the world. I vow to live my purpose every single day and not take anything for granted. I wake up with a grateful heart and soul and try to be a man of God everyday.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering is life. Life deserves a better meaning. Life’s about the trials and tribulations and the character you build as a result of it rather than just enjoying life. Suffering teaches you everything you need to know and it is the norm.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
Facts over feelings. No one close to me agrees that Charlie Kirk was an amazing human being. Everyone has disgusting things to say about him but he was my mentor, and I know for a fact he wasn’t what people say he is. The truth shall prevail.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I would hope they say that I was the hardest working individual in the room. A man of God. A man of service.
