Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Janine Forte. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Janine, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
For me, developing self-esteem and confidence has been a lifelong practice. I’ve come to understand that confidence isn’t a constant state—it ebbs and flows. There are days I feel strong and assured, and others when self-doubt creeps in, including moments of imposter syndrome.
What’s helped me most is grounding myself in authenticity—when I’m being true to who I am, not performing or trying to please others. I’ve learned that comparison and people-pleasing are confidence killers for me, so I actively work to stay in my own lane.
Over time, I’ve built confidence through preparation, reflection, and embracing challenges. I set small goals, celebrate wins, and keep showing up even when I’m nervous. That consistency has helped me trust myself more, which is the root of true confidence.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m a Mindfulness Teacher specializing in Yoga, Meditation, Energy Work, and Introspective Journeying. Through my brand, One Yoga International™️, I support people in healing, transformation, and returning to their true nature.
My work is multidimensional—I teach public and private classes, lead international retreats, work 1:1 with clients, and facilitate teacher trainings around the world. What I love most is helping people reconnect with themselves, shed limiting patterns, and cultivate more presence, ease, and authenticity in their lives.
One Yoga International™️ is rooted in kindness, compassion, and authenticity. Our tagline—“a community space for everyOne”—reflects our commitment to inclusion, welcoming people from all walks of life into a supportive and soul-centered space.
Right now, I’m especially excited about the launch of our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training this fall. It’s a passion project I’ve spent over a year developing, drawing from the full spectrum of my education, certifications, and life experience as a teacher.
The program offers two flexible pathways: one fully self-paced and on-demand, and the other a hybrid model that blends online learning with in-person intensives for deeper integration. Whether someone is seeking certification or personal growth, this training is designed to support true transformation.
We also host retreats in beautiful destinations like the U.S., Mexico, and Spain—each one offering a unique opportunity to unplug, heal, and reconnect in community. The 2026 retreat list will be launching soon, which I am also very excited about—it’s shaping up to be our most expansive and inspiring retreat season yet.
More than anything, I see this work as sacred. It’s an honor to hold space for others on their journey home to themselves.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been:
1. Belief in yourself. Live boldly with conviction in who you are and what you do. When the inner critic or that “Negative Nancy” voice shows up—as it inevitably will—acknowledge it, but then let it go. Those doubts belong in the clouds with imposter syndrome, not in your reality.
2. Patience. This truly is a virtue. If you believe in yourself and your path, stay the course. There’s no elevator to success—you have to take the stairs. And trust me, the Universe loves a stubborn heart who keeps going.
3. Kindness and compassion toward yourself. Especially on the hard days, be gentle and loving with yourself. Growth isn’t linear, and setbacks are part of the process. Try not to fixate solely on the destination—learn to enjoy the journey. Life is really a collection of moments unfolding one frame at a time.
My advice for those early in their journey: Cultivate these qualities daily. Believe deeply, practice patience consistently, and treat yourself with the same kindness you’d offer a dear friend. These foundational practices will carry you through challenges and help you grow with grace.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes! I have a clear and heartfelt vision—to lead a large-scale, heart-opening yoga flow and meditation event that can hold hundreds of people, dedicated to world peace for humans, animals, and the soul of this Earth.
I imagine the artist Moby providing the music, beginning with his song “In My Heart” and then playing sets that flow with my practice.
If anyone has connections within wellness festivals or summits, or knows folks in the music industry connected to Moby, I’m wide open and excited to explore collaboration opportunities. Please feel free to reach out—I’d love to connect and co-create this meaningful experience!
