We were lucky to catch up with Stormy Sage recently and have shared our conversation below.
Stormy, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
For as long as I can remember, the question “Why am I here?” kept me up at night.
In high school, I would press my mom with questions like: “What are we doing here? What am I supposed to be doing?” It felt like there was an invisible clock ticking, and I was destined for something important, though I couldn’t name it. Back then, conversations about purpose weren’t as common as they are now, so I went searching for answers on my own.
I started with mindfulness, meditation and dipped into different spiritual traditions to find answers. When it came time to pick a career, I only knew two things: I wanted to help people, and I wanted to travel. That’s how I stumbled across travel nursing blogs and Reddit threads that ultimately set me on the path I’ve walked for the past nine years as both a nurse and a travel nurse. Nursing gave me the freedom, income, and adventure I had always dreamed of, but the deeper question still lingered: what is my purpose?
It turns out, purpose isn’t a job title. It’s much bigger than that.
Over the years, I worked with coaches, healers, psychics, and mentors, each offering me a puzzle piece. But what I discovered was that the answers were within me all along. By looking back at my childhood passions and following my curiosities, I began to see the threads of my true purpose.
As a kid, I loved to write, play dress up, pretend to host interviews, and blog about ideas bigger than myself. I was fascinated by quantum mechanics, spirituality, and the mystical side of reality. When I traveled, I was drawn to sacred sites and ancient ruins. When I traveled throughout Asia, Australia, and South America, I realized my energy was uniquely exchanging with the land. Each of us has a direct line with the divine. My connection became stronger and stronger as I connected with animal spirits, began shamanic journeying, and communicated with my spirit team. These weren’t random interests; they were breadcrumbs sent to me by my future self.
The more I leaned into what excited me, the more my purpose revealed itself. I realized it wasn’t about finding a single destination or job; it was about living as an explorer of life, following my energy, and expressing myself fully.
Today, my purpose flows through everything I create. I still travel and help people, but in ways that are uniquely mine. I do grid work on the land in places that I travel to. I host a podcast that is an underground line to your flirty future self. I write on Substack called: Flrity Future Diaries. I created a body of work that explores the quantum reality of flirting with your future self from everything I have learned from my physical and spiritual experiences. My purpose is how I move through the world, how I share my energy and ideas with others, and how I communicate with the seen and unseen worlds and realms. My purpose is to share my thoughts, lessons, and experiences with others, showing that expanded realities are possible and within reach.
At its heart, my purpose is to show others how to flirt with their future selves, to world-build their lives, and to realize that transformation can be joyful, poetic, and fun.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m the founder and voice behind Stormy Sage Media, a creative playground where personal growth meets spirituality, playful creativity, and quantum possibility. My mission is to help you world-build your life by “flirting with your future self” and push the edges of your soul, brain, and ego all at once.
What excites me most is that I make transformation feel fun. Personal development doesn’t have to feel like homework; it can feel like flirting with possibility, like designing a life that excites you to wake up every morning. I create my content to feel like you are immersed in a mindset diary and a multiversal pep talk to inspire you to think of all the possibilities that exist.
Through my content on YouTube (@StomySageMedia), TikTok (@TheStormyShowPodcast), Instagram (@StormySageMedia), Substack (Flirty Future Diaries), and my podcast (The Stormy Show), I help people stop abandoning themselves and start stepping into the identity of who they know they’re meant to be.
The truth is, I used to be my own biggest obstacle. I abandoned my dreams over and over again, hiding behind self-doubt, low self-worth, and fear of being seen. What shifted everything for me was realizing I needed to change how I saw myself. Once I began embodying the identity of a writer, a creator, a business owner, and someone capable of building her dream, everything changed.
That’s what I now teach others: how to step into their future identity and collapse the gap between who they are now and who they’re becoming.
Currently, I’m focused on:
1. My upcoming ebook: Flirt with Your Future Self Handbook. The Handbook will be your go-to playful guide to become your flirty future self. It will help you collapse timelines, flirt with possibility, and step boldly into your future self. Packed with exercises, prompts, and cosmic invitations, this handbook makes personal growth fun, flirty, and utterly transformative, because reinvention should feel like an adventure, not homework.
2. Expanding my podcast: The Stormy Show into a dreamy audio diary blending spirituality, story, and pep talks for those craving a fresh start.
At the core of everything I do is this belief: you don’t have to wait for the perfect moment to become who you’re meant to be. You can start flirting with your future self right now.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. Keep going, even when it’s hard. Your purpose will call to you in subtle ways: a spark of excitement, a nudge of curiosity, or even the twinge of jealousy when someone else is living the life you secretly crave. Those feelings are your future self winking at you, saying, “Come play. Come create. Come show up.” Even when it feels like nothing is happening, even when the world seems heavy, persistence is the bridge between who you are now and who you’re becoming. Keep showing up. Keep flirting with your future self.
2. You will never feel fully ready, and that’s exactly the point. The “perfect moment” doesn’t exist. Waiting for it is waiting for someone else’s permission to live your life. Instead, start now. Begin before the doubts quiet you, before the fear wins. When you act as if the person you want to be already exists, you start to embody her, and suddenly, what once felt impossible starts feeling inevitable. Your future self has been waiting for you to take that first playful step.
3. You already know more than you think. When you say, “I don’t know what to do” or “I’m not sure what I want,” most likely, that’s a story you’re telling yourself to stay safe. Deep down, your intuition knows. Take time to journal, meditate, walk, or daydream. Ask yourself: What am I avoiding? What do I already know? What would my future self do? Flirting with that future version of yourself is one of the most powerful ways to uncover your own answers and move through fear with curiosity and playfulness.
The throughline in all of this? Life is a playful, quantum experiment. Your future self is not just a destination; she’s your guide, your muse, and your permission slip to risk, explore, and become. Persistence, courage, and self-trust are the keys to stepping fully into that adventure.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
My biggest area of growth this past year has been learning to embrace balance while leaning into risk, finding the sweet spot between extremes, and stepping fully into the unknown. My life path has always led me through extremes, whether in career, travel, relationships, or personal growth. Over time, I realized that the magic isn’t in pushing harder or swinging further, but in embracing the gray space, the balance between effort and ease, fear and excitement, planning and play.
At the same time, I’ve come to see life itself as inherently risky. Every choice, starting a relationship, launching a business, or following a calling, carries uncertainty. The trick is learning to view risk through the lens of your future self. Each leap, no matter how scary, becomes an invitation to flirt with possibility and step closer to the person you’re becoming. When I quit my job, sold my house, traveled across the world, or launched my business, the fear was real. And yet, my future self was whispering, “Of course you can do this. Of course, you’re ready. Of course, you’ll figure it out.”
This past year, embracing both balance and risk has allowed me to co-create life with more grace, patience, energy, and joy. I’ve learned that when you stop seeing life in black-and-white extremes and start leaning into the unknown with curiosity and play, growth becomes effortless, aliveness becomes contagious, and each decision feels like a flirtation with your most empowered self. Every risk taken in this space, from bold adventures to creative projects, has reinforced that I am capable, that the unknown is where magic lives, and that each of us is a world-builder, consciously shaping a life we love.
