We recently had the chance to connect with Stacy Burrell and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Stacy, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: When was the last time you felt true joy?
The last time I felt true joy was in a moment of stillness—when I allowed myself to simply be. No rushing, no striving, just being present and connecting with God. I’ve learned that joy isn’t always found in big achievements or busy moments; sometimes it’s in the quiet, when I’m appreciating my life exactly as it is. In that space, I feel peace, gratitude, and a deep sense of contentment that only comes from God.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a motivational speaker, consultant and coach, passionate about helping people grow—personally, professionally, and spiritually. I believe in the power of purpose, faith, and resilience. Over the years, I’ve learned that true transformation begins when we pause long enough to listen to God’s voice and trust His timing. My mission is to inspire others to walk in confidence, serve with heart, and live with joy, no matter where they are in life’s journey.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that has most shaped how I see myself is my relationship with Jesus Christ. Through Him, I’ve learned who I truly am—loved, chosen, and created with purpose. My identity is no longer tied to what I do or what others think of me, but to who God says I am. That relationship has taught me grace, strength, and peace, and it continues to guide how I show up in every area of my life.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain when I became ill and had no choice but to face it. In that season, God showed me that my vulnerability could actually be someone else’s victory. I realized that by being authentic about my struggles, I could give others permission to do the same. What once felt like weakness became a source of power, purpose, and healing—not just for me, but for others who needed to know they weren’t alone.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief you used to hold tightly but now think was naive or wrong?
I used to believe that my value was tied to achievement and success—that I had to constantly prove myself to feel worthy. Over time, and through a lot of inner work and faith, I realized that my value isn’t something I have to earn. It’s tied to my very existence. I am worthy simply because God created me. That shift changed everything—it brought peace, freedom, and a deeper sense of joy in just being.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people will say that I never gave up—no matter what life threw my way! That I kept my faith, loved deeply, and used my voice to lift others up. I want people to remember that I was real, that I walked with confidence, and that my life pointed them back to God. If my story reminds someone to keep going and to trust that there’s purpose in their pain, then I’ll know I lived well.
