Story & Lesson Highlights with Franklin Davis

We recently had the chance to connect with Franklin Davis and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Franklin, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
With so much of my time going into work. Between being in the kitchen for Chef D’s Catering and operating my new business venture, The Stuffed Cluck. I’ve really learned to value my time outside of work. Lately, spending quality time with my family and friends has been the most rewarding and joyful part of my life. It’s a great balance to the busy days and helps me recharge for everything I’m building professionally.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Franklin Davis. I was fortunate to be featured last year for my work with Chef D’s Catering, but this time I’ve been focused on an exciting new business venture called The Stuffed Cluck. The Stuffed Cluck is a creative spin on comfort food. We specialize in stuffed chicken sandwiches that go beyond the ordinary. Each sandwich is crafted with bold flavors and unique fillings that bring something fresh and exciting to the table. It’s all about taking a familiar favorite and transforming it into an experience! What makes The Stuffed Cluck special is that it’s more than just a restaurant, it’s an extension of my passion for art, flavor, and community. Every sandwich tells a story, from the ingredients we use to the way we present it. We want people to walk away not just full, but inspired by the creativity and care behind every bite. Right now, I’m focused on growing the brand, expanding our menu, and creating opportunities for people to connect through good food. Just like with Chef D’s Catering, The Stuffed Cluck is rooted in purpose bringing people together through flavors that feel both familiar and new.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My grandmother is the person who has shaped me the most. She raised me and has always been the foundation of who I am today. Her strength, wisdom, and constant encouragement have instilled a sense of greatness and purpose in me. The values she taught; hard work, humility, and faith continue to guide everything I do, both personally and professionally.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
Fear itself has probably held me back the most. Like many people, I’ve had moments where overthinking or worrying about failure made me hesitate to take the next step. But I’ve learned that fear can either stop you or push you forward and for me, it’s become a motivator. Every time I’ve faced that fear and pushed through it, I’ve grown stronger, both personally and in business.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would probably say that what matters most to me is the bond I share with them, my family, and my faith in God. Each of those relationships has played a major role in my success and growth. They’ve supported me through every step of my journey and helped shape me into the man I am today.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope the story people tell about me isn’t just about what I accomplished, but about who I was. I want to be remembered as someone who truly cared. A person who changed lives, touched hearts, and left people better than I found them. My grandmother is the perfect example of that kind of legacy. Even after seven years of her passing, anyone who knew her still has a story about how she made them feel loved, supported, or inspired. If people can say that I carried forward that same spirit of love and positivity then I’ll know I lived my life the purposefully.
