Let’s jump in: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
Im proud of building for each customer one of the best set of golf clubs money can buy. Each set is tailored for each individual customer for their game and their style. Using only the best materials and build quality, getting the customer feedback of how much they love their golf clubs makes the extra effort all worth it.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Joel Moody and I started f:aktor golf! I have designed and created 2 different golf irons, wedges, and a putter that is changing the golf DTC market. My motto “MADE FOR YOU” is one of a kind where you choose ever part of your golf iron set to tailor to your game and your style.
Using only the best steel and forging processes and designing a no nonsense clean looking iron that plays better than it looks!
Keeping the price competitive yet not compromising on any part of the process has created something different in the golf scene.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
My parents definitely set the example of what working hard and being determined can accomplish. When you set your heart on something and go after it, there is only one outcome. Success!
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There is always times when you take leaps of faith and you don’t get that instant feedback. Thats when you ask yourself “why did I do this?” But when you power thru the negative feelings and start to see results you realize you can never give up!
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is as authentic as it gets. I love helping people. I love the fact I can provide a product that works so good for everyone. It’s the ultimate satisfaction. I think my passion for what I am doing comes across and when you can be real and passionate about what you are doing, it’s infectious.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I would hope people would always remember me as a people person and not a money person. I enjoy helping others and it has never been about the money and what I can get out of it. It’s always about what can I do to help someone else.
