We recently had the chance to connect with Nina Childs and have shared our conversation below.
Nina, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Nina Childs and I am a writer and producer. I currently am focused on producing feature films and I am also a playwright and have a new play opening in January 2026, Momma!!! I burnt the chicken!!! at the 30 minutes or less festival in Hollywood with Theatre Asylum and Combined Artform.. In summation I pound the pavement. make calls, take meetings and do whatever else I have to do to take a production from start to finish.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I would hav to say that Jesus saw me clearly before I could see myself and my only goal now is to become the person that he sees me as.
Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
I miss fun. I think back often to how much fun was placed at the center of alot of my experiences growing up. Now as an adult with a company and children so much of my focus is on my obligations and responsibilities and fun is like that favorite cousin that you don’t see as often as you’d like. It’s crazy how UNFUN being an adult is.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Fashion, nail up-keep and heart posture. I’m learning as an adult to inspect the heart posture and look past the exterior and surface of a person. Look past what they share of themselves on social media and actually look at their heart.

My Nicki Minaj Fandom. I’m a barb…unapologetically. Ha!
