Kyle Myers of Sacramento Ca on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Kyle Myers shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Kyle, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
The most recent moment that made me proud was doing media day for my local high school and jr football program for Rancho Cordova California seeing my pictures and videos being posted on the score board and banners being displayed for senior night and 8th grade homecoming!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello my name is Kyle Jamal Myers and I am a local Photographer and videographer in the Sacramento area! I was born and raised in Chicago Illinois I moved to Sacramento California when I was 23 years old and fell in love with the camera, which has brought me so many memories and opportunities!

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My two Brothers Leo and Jermaine told me I had an eye for things that other people don’t see and I needed to focus on becoming better at the craft of photography! So I decided to take my craft serious!

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes there were a few times that I did almost gave up because things weren’t going the way I would like for it to go. But I didn’t because I couldn’t let my children see me give up on my dreams because I’ve also been taught to never give up and to always finish what you start!

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends always tell me that I value friendship and family over money because money comes and goes, but real family and friends don’t leave you when times get hard. They help you to the best of their abilities to help you get back grounded to move forward in life!

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That I was a genuine funny and always love to have fun and make the best out of any situation even if it bad!
