An Inspired Chat with MiMi Klaproth of Bryan-College Station, TX

We recently had the chance to connect with MiMi Klaproth and have shared our conversation below.

MiMi, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Yes, actually. I have mentored and coached colleagues and friends the majority of my life. I have always been that go to person or friend for advice whether in life situations, asking me my opinion, helping others develop business plans and seek the step by steps out to opening or growing businesses. Recently, it was required for a role I was asked to fill at local non-profit, that I was actually certified. So I haven’t been to school or taken any courses in umpteen years but was up for the challenge. When I completed the 6 month course to become a Certified Professional Life Coach, I felt a proud rush of sorts that I feel when I see my counterparts complete things I’ve helped them with. It was very surreal.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
MiMi Klaproth here popping in with something close to my heart: a reintroduction and big announcement.

Many of you know me as the founder of MIMIK ESSENTIALS, where I am pouring passion, creativity, and care into every product we offer. As that continues to grow, more often I have been asked to mentor and guide others. But before this chapter, I lived many others – as a daughter, wife, mother, corporate professional, a mentor and certainly a serial entrepreneur. Over the past 40 years, I’ve gathered wisdom, weathered storms, and found joy in building, leading and growing as an adult.

And now, I’m ready to share that experience in a new way.

I’m stepping into the world of Life & Leadership Coaching too. I have offered these services for so many years and extremely proud of each Champion created. This next additional venture is for entrepreneurs, business dreamers, and growth-minded individuals who want mentorship from someone who’s truly walked the walk. If you are looking for guidance, clarity, strategy, and real-life wisdom on your journey – I’ve got you! Whether its coaching from ASPIRE Consulting Group llc or needing self-care daily essentials from Mimik Essentials we are here to help you in that walk!

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
That’s a really deep, introspective question. When you feel something inside you that has “served its purpose,” it often points to patterns, beliefs, relationships, habits or identifies that once kept me safe or helped me grown or held me back. In reflection of this I feel like I’ve grown to accept and enjoy my actual age verses when I was much younger. Not worrying about what the future looks like physically because I know I’m doing the best to take care of my self from physical to mentally and spiritually. Especially in the mental space, I’ve found such solace to quite time with my self as a recharge. As you grow older, you realize that every single person has opportunities but its what they do with any type of chance to grow, develop or make it to the goals they want for themselves in life. I’ve learned that self-care is as critical as health care itself. I’ve learned that you cannot make others do anything no matter what your thoughts or opinions are too. They have to perhaps be nudged or convinced but in the end you have to respect others regardless if you agree or disagree. That blend of understanding differences has been something nurtured and developed through the years and I have such a deeper insight to others due to this. This is one reason I feel very equip for the professional coaching.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
That nothing should hold me back. I feel like when I was younger I didn’t know or actually realize you could or should ask others for advice. Because of that, I would seek out things alone and not tell anyone. Now, after years of being a self resource guide I am open book and make sure others know people, things, info there for anything and everything. I would tell that young girl that I was that you are smarter than you gave yourself credit for and that you should always fill a room like you were the most important one in it vs back in day perhaps being a wallflower.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Faith and family 100%! They often say I’m so intentional. At first, I didn’t understand if that was a compliment at first. My faith is incredibly important. I’ve never not been a Christian and knowing Christ is greatest gift ever. Having the family he gave me is my second biggest gift. I’m a Daddy’s girl and learning how he treats family with such a deep admiration yet unconditional love is my safe space. My husband that is my best friend and life mate. My kids now grown and seeing them becoming each year an even better person than year before. They never seize to amaze me. My grands are my world and just the thought of them me make me sidetrack and daydream how perfect they are. I’m truly blessed. I think my friends would say I love hard and I’m always there to without ever asking.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I feel like I was born to “help others.” From being a daughter, a momma, now a MiMi and even as a friend. I love helping others and its just who I am. I have a servant heart and do not ever regret helping. It’s my air. People are my air and I love people and helping others. I love on my sleeve too. That can be risky but I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat.
