Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Mabel Katz of World

We recently had the chance to connect with Mabel Katz and have shared our conversation below.

Mabel, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
I would definitely hire myself. I am overly responsible and a workaholic. When I was an accountant and worked as an employee in a CPA office, my bosses loved me because they didn’t have to worry about me. They knew I would get the job done, whatever it took. Now that I work for myself, sometimes I feel that the only thing I do is work, but thank God I do what I love, what I cannot call it work, and I am on a mission.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am an internationally acclaimed speaker, author, and seminar leader, and I am recognized as a leading authority on Ho’oponopono, an ancient Hawaiian art and practice for achieving greater clarity of purpose and living and working more effectively. I have crafted a series of keynotes, talks, and seminars for corporations, businesses, and individuals – including workshops for children – that apply the practices of Ho’oponopono to help companies reach their full potential and give people an edge at work and in all areas of life.

Based on the principles of forgiveness and gratitude, my presentations focus on practical ways to reach what I call Zero Frequency®, a state where we are free from restrictive memories and limiting self-talk. From the clarity of Zero, outstanding solutions become apparent, and excellent choices can be made.

As an ambassador for world peace and internationally recognized as an authority on the art of Ho’oponopono, I have had many experiences.

I can tell you about some, such as a class I presented in Bristol, UK, where, at the beginning of the class, I was questioned about where I had gotten the information from. It ended in a competition between Ho’oponopono, the Koran, and the Bible. We had a great time finding out how the backgrounds of all religions actually said the same thing.

Or the experience with the Palestinian in Chile who, at first, told me that he did not agree with anything I said, and then, at the end of the class, he gave me a big hug and exclaimed, “This is Peace in the Middle East!”

How wonderful it is to discover that there is only one Truth and that we are all searching for that same Truth.

We look different, but we are all part of the same family, and we all come from the same Father. We are all discussing the same things, but perhaps we refer to them by different names.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
I have always known how to make money and achieve success. I had everything that you think you need to be happy, but I was very unhappy.

I felt powerful for the first time when I began my search for happiness, realizing I had been looking for it in the wrong places, and I discovered spirituality.

Spirituality helped me realize the power we all have within us to change our lives without depending on anybody or anything outside of ourselves. That when we change, everything changes, not the other way around. That we are 100% responsible for what we attract and create in our lives, and that 100% responsibility makes us free.

Additionally, it is essential to recognize that we all possess unique talents, and utilizing them brings us happiness. Happy people, in turn, create happy worlds.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I could say: Trust yourself. You are OK just the way you are. What you think of yourself is important, not what others think of you. Always put yourself first, follow your heart, and do what makes you happy. That is not being selfish. If you do what works for you, it will work for everybody. If you are OK, everybody will be OK.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, I am too transparent and authentic. I think that is what people appreciate and the reason for my success.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes, I feel life is not between us; it is between God and us. We are being watched all the time. We have to be sure we feel good and at peace with ourselves. That we always do and give our best.
