We recently had the chance to connect with Karmisha Superville and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Karmisha , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My mornings are sacred — it’s where discipline meets alignment. I wake up around 4:30 a.m., usually before my alarm, and start with gratitude. I take a few deep breaths, thank God for another day, and set my intentions. No television, No kids, no noise — just stillness.
I make my favorite herbal tea or lemon water, light a candle, and center my thoughts for about 10 minutes.
My She Speaks, She Believes Journal keeps me centered — it’s where I speak life into my goals and pour out any thoughts that need clarity before the world starts calling.
After that, I dive into any upcoming projects with a sense of urgency and focus — whether it’s a client event, a podcast outline, or planning a new travel experience. I’m a self-proclaimed gym rat, though I’ll admit my Fall schedule has thrown me off a bit. Still, I make sure to move my body — whether it’s a quick stretch, a yoga flow, or jumping rope in my living room. Movement keeps me grounded and reminds me that discipline doesn’t have to be perfect, just consistent.
By 7:45 a.m., I’m in focus mode — reviewing my to-do list, checking client messages for EBK Events, and scanning through any overnight updates for my podcast or upcoming travel projects. I keep calm music playing in the background to stay in my zone.
The first 90 minutes set the tone for everything that follows — intention, creativity, and purpose.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Karmisha Superville, the CEO and Founder of EBK Events and Marketing Services, an inclusive event planning and marketing firm based in New York.
Through EBK, my team and I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients — from government and corporate partners to entrepreneurs and creatives — helping them amplify their vision through strategic event management, logistics, and curated experiences.
My work has always been about creating spaces where people feel seen and celebrated. That same passion inspired me to launch my newest venture, EBK Luxe Experiences — a travel and lifestyle brand designed to merge luxury with intention. After years of producing events that connected people locally, I wanted to take that same energy global.
We recently hosted the official launch party for EBK Luxe Experiences in New York City, where we welcomed a curated list of travel bloggers, entrepreneurs, and travel enthusiasts to celebrate with us. The evening was made even more special through collaborations with Ring Entertainment and Jason A. Films, who helped us create an unforgettable atmosphere of community and inspiration.
In addition to that milestone, I also released my latest eBook, RESET & RECLAIM: Your 5-Day Journey to Mind, Body, and Joy Workbook, which guides professionals through a practical journey to pause, realign, and restore balance in their lives.
What makes my journey unique is that everything I do is rooted in purpose and inclusivity. Whether it’s curating events that bring communities together, hosting The Chop It Up Podcast, or developing programs like Turning Passions Into Profits for young girls, my focus is on creating meaningful experiences that inspire people to live boldly and authentically.
“I believe in creating spaces — whether through events, travel, or storytelling — that remind people they are worthy of joy, connection, and possibility. My mission is to design experiences that not only look beautiful but also make people feel something lasting.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
Who taught you the most about work — and what’s an early memory of feeling powerful?
I feel like I must answer this as a two-part question. The lessons I carry about work come from the incredible women in my life — my grandmother and my mother. My grandmother, though just 5’2”, was a giant in every sense. She woke up every day at 4 a.m. to prepare breakfast for us and left by 5:30 a.m. to work as a maid at a hotel for over 30 years. She faced every adversity with grace, never complained, and taught me to work with pride, integrity, and perseverance. She loved the Lord, loved life, and loved to provide — a true renaissance woman who showed me what it means to lead with faith and excellence.
My grandmother taught me resilience, creativity, and the power of showing up with intention. Watching her navigate challenges and create opportunities instilled in me the belief that hard work paired with purpose can change lives.
One of my earliest memories of feeling truly powerful happened when I was around 10 or 11. I had a brief encounter with an elder in my village who I immediately knew was dangerous — a man who preyed on young girls.
Even at that young age, my instincts kicked in, and I protected myself. That experience could have scarred me for life, but instead it became a defining lesson: power isn’t about age or size — it’s about trusting yourself, listening to your intuition, and acting decisively.
That early sense of courage and self-awareness has stayed with me ever since and informs everything I do today — from leading my businesses to creating safe, empowering spaces for others.
Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
Something I miss that no one knows about. Definitely I miss deeply is my grandmother. She was everything to me — my sounding board, my champion, and the person I could talk to for hours about all my many problems without ever being judged. She was an exemplary woman, full of grace, faith, and strength, and she had this aura that made everyone around her feel grounded and loved. She was the glue that held our family together.
Even now, as a full adult navigating the complexities of life and running my businesses, I feel her absence. I reflect on her life often, her wisdom, and the presence she carried, and it inspires me to approach life with the same integrity, resilience, and love she modeled every day. I miss her every single day, and carrying her lessons forward continues to shape the woman I am today.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
What’s a belief or project that’s taking time, but you’ll fully achieve it no matter what?
I want to become the first self-made millionaire in my family. As a business owner who’s been on the grind for over eight years, it hasn’t been an easy road — and honestly, a lot of the time it’s been lonely. But coming from where I was raised, this goal is bigger than just hitting a financial milestone. For me, it’s about staying on the path, honoring my values, and building lasting success without compromising who I am. It’s a test of perseverance, discipline, and integrity — and no matter how long it takes, I know I’ll get there.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
If you laid down your name, role, and possessions — what would remain?
My heart. The way I genuinely care about others. The way I show up, even when it comes at a disadvantage to myself. The way I love. The fact that I remain steadfast, even when life throws challenges our way. I don’t switch moods or move with the wind — I am a foundation. I don’t waver. I lead with my heart, and it is the cornerstone of who I am. I move with intention, not impulse.
